Was I next? : )

I've never served (I'd be rejected for a heart murmer and high blood pressure) although other members of my family have...my brother was in the Army from 1992 to 1994 and is still in the National Guard Reserves, my stepfather was in the Air Force, another stepfather served in Vietnam in the Army (1969-'70) my grandfather flew a B-17 during WW2 and I've had cousins in the Army and Air Force. We're a diverse bunch.

I'm with you -- I have never served. My bro is a CPT in the Army Reserves, I have a cousin who served in the Army in Panama during the Noreiga years and was also stationed in Korea for a while, and another cousin who was in the Marines -- he went in to liberate Kuwait City during GW1. I have 2 uncles who served in Vietnam and my FIL was a Merchant Marine in WW2 -- he was in the advertising office!!
