Navy?
|
Why did you choose that particular branch?
|
Where did you go to Basic Training or Boot Camp?
What is the name of your unit? (Division?)
What is their (your) mascot?
Tell us how much you loved your DI!
How long were you at Boot Camp/Basic Training, before you questioned the parentage of the senior Drill Sergeant? How long were you in service before you realized that the instructors were right in all that they taught you? |
Your first landing on an aircraft carrier Your first parachute jump The heaviest vehicle you got to drive The largest weapon you got to use Did you serve before email? Did you have a personal nickname? |
It is our pleasure and honor to be here for our Troops, past, present and future... and especially during this Week, the 4th of July we remember that we owe our freedom to you. Thank you for your service and sacrifice, and God bless you.
A gentle reminder from Ms.B: Please, no politics in The Canteen. The Troops need a place to rest, relax and relate, and that place is The Canteen. Have fun and play nice! |

Good morning, Everyone. Good morning to our
Military, our Allies, and their families.
Thank you, Ms. B and Old Sarge, for preparing the Canteen for todays activities. Since I never served in the military, I guess I'll have to be content with trying to read all of the posts here. There are a lot of them so I'll have to make my morning hellos a little shorter this morning.
Time for the DC Metroland weather report. MORE RAIN! It is suppose to clear up and be nice by this afternoon. Let's wait and see.
I have a cyber party to get ready. So stick around. I hope I'm not too late as I just got the word this morning even though the notice was posted last night after I left.
As you can guess by my attire this morning, and the fact that I am a little tired of the rain, this is going to be another beach party. Now, I'm off.
But, you stay right where you are. Don't touch that dial. Don't change that channel. Put down that remote. Don't leave the room. Keep your eyes on your monitor. Cause...............I'll be bock!
Now remember, the Canteen is
So, come on in and sit for a while. There's always plenty of coffee, pancakes, conversation, silliness, and plain old BS
REMEMBER THEM
DEFENDERS OF FREEDOM
FR CANTEEN MISSION STATEMENT Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allied military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before.

Calling All Hands. Come join us, along with Jemians, in wishing a bon voyage to JemiansTerror as he embarks on a new career. I think this calls for a cyber party, don't you? Come one......Come all. Lets show JemiansTerror a real good time before he begins his weeks of training.
Im not sure of Jemians Terror's preference, but, hey, lets do a beach party, so come on let's PARTY. We've got reserved parking space on the island. Weve got our own private beach Weve got games We've got music. This is a special song to help JT remember..... The How Majestic Is Your Name by Jerry Williams (Psalm 208) (yeah....yeah....I know this is NOT beach music, but hey, he's leaving, ok? Someone else can play beach music) Weve got food We've got drinks.....oh, look who is that bringing beer? Could that be El Gran? You know the drill
.. at a cyber party you're only allowed 2. We don't encourage drinking and FReeping. You know what they say, FRiends don't let FRiends drink and FReep. Thank you, Jemians Terror, for your service. Please remember that we will be here thinking and praying for you. Now, here's someone who wants to wish you bon voyage

I know a guy who was in the USCG and did a few years on the Owasco (sp?) out at Sea Station Bravo (?), the one up in the North Atlantic.
His stories of how that thing rolled in bad weather would make us glad we spent most of our time on land.
