GAZA, June 29 (Reuters) - A spokesman for gunmen in the Gaza Strip said they had fired a rocket tipped with a chemical warhead at Israel early on Thursday. The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the claim by the spokesman from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

The bulk of the terrorist activity in the ME originates in Tehran. This would be the dumbest move ever for terrorists everywhere, as their primary benefactor would be open to having Tehran turned into a glass parking lot.
That is precisely what I would do if I was in Israel's position and was attacked with WMD's. Would Olmert have the cajones to follow through with the "ultimate" weapon?
We may soon find out the answer.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said the army had not detected that any such rocket was fired, nor was there any report of such a weapon hitting Israel.I can't fathom why the terror group would lie about it. What, are they going to allege that the Israelis are covering it up? Either that, or the spokesman merely thinks it was fired.

Very well could be, but Israel should know even better than the Palis whether they've been hit with a chemical weapon. So, if it's a bluff, it will be a short-lived one.
