Gaza militants say fired chemical-tipped warhead

GAZA, June 29 (Reuters) - A spokesman for gunmen in the Gaza Strip said they had fired a rocket tipped with a chemical warhead at Israel early on Thursday.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the claim by the spokesman from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

All bets are off if Syria decides to get involved with the Gaza situation. I bet that scenario is being bounced around between Israel and USA. We already have troops on the border with Syria, that's for certain.

There was no chemical attack, or at least not one that worked. We would have had confirmation by now from civilians or foreign reporters.

Yes, John Batchelor was just saying that Iran WANTS Israel and the Palestinians to have a "bloodbath"...and that the new tactic will be like Al-queda did in Iraq..

How would Israel confirm anything? If it blew up then the evidence could have gone with it. It would take time to confirm this type of information. There are a lot of explosions going on over there right now. I can't see Israel being able to confirm anything at this point. Hard to say but that seems logical.

I've always been under the impression that those deadly gasses act relatively fast, so if this is true (and they managed to hit a populated area), we should be hearing about lots of deaths pretty soon.
