"Peace Mom" Cindy Sheehan said Friday that she's troubled by the death of al-Qaida's top operational terrorist, Abu Musab al Zarqawi, predicting that it will actually make things worse for U.S. troops in Iraq.
"I suspect it's gong to make the insurgency in Iraq worse," she told Cincinnati, Ohio's 9News.
The peace crusader added that the expected increase in violence "will just prove to me that our presence in Iraq is just fueling the violence, fueling the insurgency."
"The killing and the cycle of violence has to stop," Sheehan insisted.
The California pacifist was in Cincinnati to join with the city's Women's Choir for a scheduled "teach-in" for peace.
Sheehan was in New York earlier this week, campaigning against New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, who she called "a little less evil" than President Bush.
Referring to Mrs. Clinton, Sheehan told Democracy Now Radio: "It's time for us to stop holding our nose and voting for the lesser of two evils, because that person might be just a little less evil, but they're still supporting the evil policies of the Bush administration."
What does this dumb as dirt woman know about what will happen in the future? The MSM again shows its true colors.
Yea, Cindy better he live so he can cut off more heads. Scheesh!
Not to be confused with "Peace Bitch" Jane Fonda.
Proving Ann Coulter's point of people using misfortune/deaths of loved ones to politicize.
Wideawake had a good post on this:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1645547/posts?page=49#49
Excerpting from Wideawake:
"Compare what Lisa Beamer has done for her husband's legacy and what her neighbor Kristen Breitweiser has done for her husband's memory.
Millions of people across America know who Todd Beamer was and what he was all about, because his wife has used her celebrity to tell his story.
99.999% of the public don't even know Ron Breitweiser's first name, let alone anything about the man. "
You bet it is. Good news for America is bad news for the loony leftists.
Well...if she keeps saying this kind of stuff about the Hildebeast, I'd place a wager on the fact that she just way be seeing her good buddy Zarqawi face to face, real, real soon! Keep it up, Cindy...can't say it was nice knowing ya!!
Disclaimer: After having been flamed the other day on another thread, I must add this disclaimer. Berg and Sheehan did not have a "loved one" killed in the 9-11 massacre and I'm am not "breaking" any "new news" here claiming that they did. Put away the flame thrower you idiot.
Leaving the idiocy of that statement aside for a second, why is it they we are the ones who are always expected to stop the cycle of violence? Why doesn't she tell the "insurgents" that they should stop it?
Poor poor Cindy Sheethand....we know how much you despise that phoney, truth bending little jr. witch Senator Hellary from NY. Who can blame you dear...le queenie Hildebeast is such a placating politician like her BJ hubbie. Now go and take some TLC from your kissie huggie true blue friend and darling Hugo Chavez....his pig lips will be your source of comfort dear.
This is the sole reason why one might have reason to regret the death of Zarqawi. We now will never have the opportunity for her to go explain this "principle" to Zarqawi personally, and for him to cut her head off like he did with Nick Berg.
Regards, Ivan
I believe I read somewhere that this grieving, dedicated mom has yet to get a marker of any kind on Casey's grave. At the moment, he lies in an unmarked grave.
That may have to be our next project, setting up a fund to get his gravesite properly marked.
Excellent point.
""The killing and the cycle of violence has to stop," Sheehan insisted. "
Why doesn't she say that to THEM?
The Democrats and liberals need to draft this person for president in 2008 and put all their eggs in the basket.
It's shameful how the mainstream media exploits this deranged person (Helen Thomas also comes to mind) -- scraping the bottom of the dumpsters looking for a "spokesperson" to say the most inane things they wish they could say themselves.
Further clarification: wagglebee. The "you idiot" in my above post was not directed at you. I've got to learn to be more careful I guess.
Like Sheehan really cared at all, except like the hildebeast enjoys the limelight. (sarc)
Oh my gosh! I didn't know she actually said that this country is not worth dying for.
Any reporter that runs to her with a microphone for a comment on anything at all is as demented as she is.
Dang, Sindy was in town and this is the first I heard of it! I guess "teach-ins" don't get as much publicity as they used to.
In an interview earlier this month, Bush-bashing Gold Star mom Cindy Sheehan referred to terrorists allied with the Iraqi insurgents who killed her GI son Casey as "freedom fighters."
"Now that we have decimated [Iraq], the borders are open, freedom fighters from other countries are going in, and [U.S. troops] have created more terrorism by going to an Islamic country," Sheehan complained to CBS Newsman Mark Knoller.
Knoller, as well as other reporters who heard Sheehan's remarks, declined to include the outburst in his coverage. But a video unearthed Tuesday by FreeRepublic.com captured Sheehan's comments on tape.
KNOLLER: You know that the president says Iraq is the central front in the war on terrorism, don't you believe that?
SHEEHAN: No, because it's not true. You know Iraq was no threat to the United States of America until we invaded. I mean they're not even a threat to the United States of America. Iraq was not involved in 9-11, Iraq was not a terrorist state.
But now that we have decimated the country, the borders are open, freedom fighters from other countries are going in, and [U.S. troops] have created more terrorism by going to an Islamic country, devastating the country and killing innocent people in that country. The terrorism is growing and people who never thought of being car bombers or suicide bombers are now doing it because they want the United States of America out of their country. I was going to recommend a "Barf Alert!", but I've changed my mind. I think your post deserves at least a "Cindy 'Sheesh'an Alert!"
