Be sure to catch the replay of Glenn Beck tonight in Headline News....in the first 20 mins he is hysterical about the Zarqawi killing...he has a guy from his radio show go out on the streets of New York City and offer celebration bacon and a chalk outline bacon zarqawi cake for anyone who wants to celebrate the killing of the terrorist scumbag.
He also goes head to head with an Army father whose son is suing not to go to Iraq because he is against the war....good stuff...replays at Midnight EST on CNN Headline News.
Hmmm, I had Shep on the TiVo in that time slot, but I never watch it. Usually I just watch Hume, and maybe Cavuto.
I'll have to try Beck in that slot.
Somebody needs to post "live threads" for his show and keep them bumped.
One of the reasons I want him to succeed is to put pressure on Fox to come back to our side.
He could have just used lard as the shortening in the cake.
Makes it wonderfully moist, too.
Bacon....Northerners...
For me, outside of Brit, NeilC, and John Gibson, they're pretty much unwatchable. I quit BOR 3 or more years ago, when the size of his ego outgrew the studio. H&C is short attention span "debate" for the ADD, and I'm ADD enough as it is, I don't need any more. And Shep pretty much jumped the shark with his New Orleans histrionics post-Katrina. The only reason he's still on the TiVo schedule is inertia.
You must be that long lost brother I've always suspected was out there! heh
I think this is why Beck could (if given the chance) succeed at TV, especially in interviews. When you're on the radio (as he is) you're used to dealing with indignent callers, or callers who won't admit to a point of view, and your interview skills are honed.
The TV media, in general, seem to have lost the ability to ask the hard questions, and if they do ask them, they don't press for the answer if not given, or call the person on skirting the issue.
A radio person is probably better at that skill, as was demonstrated with the dad in the interviewer...Beck asked the hard questions and wouldn't let the guy off the hook when he tried to "not answer."
