Coulter should have known her remarks would cause controversy. But she may have underestimated how sensitive even her own audience might be to such an ignorant rant.
Is a quote from the author, not from me.
I don't think Ann goes too far. I believe i understand just what she meant. a transcript was posted earlier and i read it. Now why should .000000000000000001% of obvious liberal bedwetters be given so much media attention, except to try to brain wash heads of mush and influence politics. Your statement shows the crux of what she means..... That we should have to be deferent forever and let them do and say whatever they want because they lost spouses, and pay for them to do it. I think you are over reacting and Ann is right.
Every one of her books has one outrageous soundbite like this. It forces the Old Media to cover her and sell tons of her books.
The Jersey girls were a major reason why the 9/11 Commission came into being--which was intended to discredit the Bush administration over 9/11 while shielding the Clintons from any blame (hence Gorelick's and Ben Veniste's presence on the commission).
Why, of the thosands of spouses, parents, children, or siblings bereaved by 9/11, only the opinions of those four counted is a mystery known only to the mainstream media.
What conservative did she "attack"?
These women want to be a part of the political fray without impunity. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. Ann is right.
If you go to the AP story at Drudge you can vote the poll..
She should have said it.
It's good that someone is saying the outrageously true.
We live in such a polite, correct age that sometimes, as with Jesus, if the truth isn't spoke "the stones will cry out."
I think so too. i think she is nasty and cruel. Most here like her, and I did before but in the last couple years she has gotten more out there.
It's not too far at all. It's long past due that someone stood up to the left's version of those who alone have "moral authority" to speak out.
I'm sorry they lost loved ones, but the far more lost loved ones and if they speak in favor of Bush and the WoT, they are castigated by the left.
One need only look at the backing of sKerry and Murtha by the left as above reproach for their 'heroics' in Viet nam and their endless condemnations and trashings of over 250 real war heroes with real medals on their chests to see how the left parades out the8ir 'chosen' and holds them, and them alone, as above reproach and untouchable.
It's long past due that we stand up and remind them that once anyone enters the political realm, they become open to the very same attacks they visit on others.
I think he better stay out of Ann's way. I'm betting she could Pug His Mug for him.
Not surprised you'd say that. Ann has exposed the Jersey skanks and libs once again. Gotta be frustrating.
Pug his mug and pull off his rug.
It has been a long time now that storm troopers have had their way in the US countryside. Clinton didn't care, neither did either Bush.
She made a comment about Natalie Maines?
Ann knows exactly what she is doing. The modern news media requires extreme statements before a taboo or neglected issue will be discussed. After that, the essential point is opened to discussion, with the more "responsible" opinion vendors able to enter the fray after a preliminary distancing from Ann. The "Jersey Girls" are now off their pedestal for good, and "harpies" is so apt that it will stick. Privately, hundreds of other 9/11 families are cheering.
I have heard worse talk on the House and Senate floor when the Democrats start damning our President. I have heard much worse by the MSM shows when they have Democrats on giving Republicans down the road~~~
