Still, I'd rather have sons then daughters. At least with sons, you can always just kick them out of the house if they turn out to be lazy bums.

One co-worker of mine paid $60,000 to send her to college for four years. Then she got pregnant and he paid another $25,000 for a big wedding for her (she HAD to have the very best). A year later, she left her husband and went back home to daddy. Now he is supporting her and her kid.

I have two sons, no daughters, and I count my blessings every day.

You can kick the girls out too.

It's happened. Sounds like the problem is not the girl, but your co-worker. He'd do the same for a boy.

Well, you've heard the old saying: with a son you only have to worry about one penis; with a daughter you have to worry about three billion penises.

Same here, 2 boys, no girls (thank God). My oldest was very unmotivated, so unmotivated that I had to drag him down to the DMV to get his drivers lic...at 18 years old! He finally woke up at about age 20, joined the Navy and now I am very proud of him.

We are both lucky men.

While I see your point, I suggest you be very nice to your daughters-in-law. It's usually the female who gets stuck with the aging parent, one way or another.

If we are going to go anecdotal, I have two daughters who went to college, got their degrees, worked for a living for a while, got married, and are bringing up two children each. There are examples both ways.

I'm a woman with two sisters. We all left home and never looked back, went to college on the cheap, work hard, care for our families, and are smarter than our husbands but we love them anyway and never let them know it.

We had and still have a great Dad. (and Mom, but the Dad is really important with daughters).

I'm *really* hoping you don't let your disdain for women rub off on your sons. There really are some good ones out there.

"I have two sons, no daughters, and I count my blessings every day"

that says alot about you......guess your sons just materialized out of thin air.....

and maybe when or if your sons have children, you can pay for an early ultrasound and get rid of any would be grand-dtrs since you seem to detest them so much....

or move to China or India...they feel like you and don't want dtrs either, except they just kill them there....

First mistake was paying for the kids college. I have no intentions of paying for my kid to go to school, they need to have a job in hs to save up and take out loans.

Second mistake was paying for a huge wedding for a girl who got pregnant out of wedlock (I would not pay 25K in any case but especially not if the girl was pregnant).
