...we came, we saw, we shredded some more...
Operation Simply Shred II went into effect at 9:30 am this morning of May 27, 2006 with the opening of the 2006 Memorial Day Airshow at the Columbia Regional Airport.
If anyone remembers last Memorial Day weekend in 2005, Operation Simply Shred was a success and had the local moonbats, especially the chief honco, Mark Haim, going rabid over what we were doing to his precious yellow pamplets..
Four FReepers were there to put the Operation into effect: Bluesagewoman, Gulfwar1vet, Prov3456, and Bogeyman.
Battery operated shredders? genius. What did you do with all the yellow confetti?
At first glance, I thought this was a Jefferson document thread :)
I hate the way these Commie pigs exploits America's fallen heroes for their pro-terrorist/Communist political propaganda purposes. Lowlife scumbags.
It was a beautiful day, although you know it was the beginning of summer with temps in the low 90's. Ahh, Missouri summers. Love it or leave it.
But we were prepared with water, hats, and sunscreen lotion, and we were prepared for anything that might come our way with the moonbats.
As a matter of fact, we were there first setting up the "tent", when all of a sudden we had umm, company. Normally, the bats go on the other side of us, but this year, I guess they wanted our company, so they just set up camp right next to us. I told Blue, better hold my tongue or I will go off. LoL, but I was a good boy.
More coverage and plus pics are coming....
Sorry about the flow of the post...(stupid fingers are to blame)
LOL! I'd KILL for low 90's. Here in Bullhead City, AZ it's about 105 everyday! Next month it'll hit 120! BTW, GOOD JOB!
Mark Haim has been described by the The New York Times as "...a choreographer to watch in the future." A graduate of the Juilliard School, he was Artistic Director of Mark Haim & Dancers from 1984-1987 and the Companhia de Danca de Lisboa from 1987-1990.

Mission statement:
Mid-Missouri Peaceworks is an egalitarian, non-profit, grassroots membership organization. We are based out of a storefront headquarters, the Peace Nook, in downtown Columbia, Missouri. Since 1982 we have been working for a more peaceful, just and sustainable future. Our mission is as follows: Peaceworks holds a vision of an ecologically sound, sustainable world and a violence-free community in which human equality and justice flourish. We aspire to create a participatory, cooperative social order in which all individuals can fully actualize their potential free of coercion or violence.
Peaceworks is sensitive to the interconnectedness of all on this planet, and conscious of the multiple threats to survival. A primary mission of our organization is opposing and defusing these threats.
Through public education, advocacy and fellowship, Peaceworks strives to serve as a vehicle for citizen empowerment. A primary premise upon which we pursue our mission is that citizens can, and should, be involved in policy decision making at all levels. We aim to achieve both a greater degree of democracy, and outcomes which move us incrementally toward our vision.
Noam Chomsky, a regular on the politically slanted daily radio and TV broadcast Democracy Now, has been called arguably the most important intellectual alive by the New York Times. His work has earned him a reputation as one of the foremost speakers on social activism.
Peaceworks Director Mark Haim said that his group is trying to create awareness by sponsoring such events. Haim hopes individuals might dig deeper into the ideas and ideologies that Chomsky tackles in his work. While Haim doesnt think one speaker can change the attitudes of the entire community, he does hope the presentation will inspire and spur dialogue.
Haim said he wants this event to increase the understanding of as many individuals as possible on a number of critical issues.
The Peace Nook, a nonprofit bookstore run in association with Mid-Missouri Peaceworks, offers a 20 percent discount on all of Chomskys works to promote the event.

Peaceworks Director Mark Haim said the group has had a presence at the post office every tax day since the late '80s because people don't realize how much money goes to the military.
