It's the beginning of the Memorial Day weekend. We've had our silliness thread to start things off now, how about this:
Who do you think had the best cameo performance in any movie or TV show? You know, someone who had a bit part but stole the show for you.

Thanks for the list of all the Alfred Hitchcock cameos...most of them I knew, but two in particular I had missed...the cameo from Rear Window always escaped me, as did the cameo from The Lady Vanishes(my favorite Alfred Hitchcock movie)..next time around while viewing these films, I will keep a closer watch...
My favorite cameo is the one from Dial M for Murder...I love him in that pic...

Rowan & Martins Laugh-In: Richard Nixon
Newhart: Suzanne Pleshette

My favorite cameo from that movie was the Three Stooges as the airport fire rescue team. No spoken lines. Just them, waiting for the plane to crash.

Yes, I would agree, that the remake of The Thing, did dwell on the disgusting physical effects of being something other than oneself...its always more eerie, and scarey, when the physical representation of someone is as you have always known them, but they have changed on the inside, and that is much more spooky...

David Letterman: Cabin Boy.

I thought Martin Sheen's appearance in Hot Shots was good.

What a great thread.
Suzanne Pleshette on the "Newhart" show, yep.
Hitchcock in the pet shop in The Birds.
It's a Mad World, EVERYONE was a cameo in that one!

Probably "Jesse," which was not as awful as practically every other TV show starring someone from a super-famous show.

Peter Jackson did the same in all three Lord of the Rings movies. It's always fun to pick out the director in such films.

Barbara Billingsly in Airplane! Good one.

This might win the thread. It has 3 independent selections.

Ronald Reagan when he was governor of California made a cameo appearance on the Sonny and Cher comedy hour. He received the first "Bono" award and it was a riot!

You hit the nail on the head with Marcel Marceau. In the silent movie, the Mime was the only one who spoke in the entire movie.......
Funny, how I noticed that.........

I believe it was "Strangers on a Train" where Alfred Hitchcock's daughter kneels down and brushes white powder off Guy's crotch symbolizing... you know
.....how's that for obscure?
