Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to let her know how much she is loved.
Post your prayers, encouragements, jokes, pictures or memories, so she will have them to read when she gets back home.
Thank you, (((((fuzzy))))).
Thank you, (((((Meggsie))))). That was special of you to do.
Thank you, Diver. Your post at the Finest sums up how we all feel about our *Maggie*. A beautiful post.
Amen!
I've been reading a bit more of the thread and just came across it. You find the prettiest flowers. : )
"cook the noodles 15min not according to the package direction"
There is an order in a well-lived life and, I think, a well-lived life in the ordering thereof; the sentence fragment above says much about the person who said it, especially under the conditions when it was said.
She must have been a very special person, the sort you hope to meet again and again.
Thank you .... such a special lady, indeed, God love her. Those left behind suffer ... I know she knows infinite wellbeing and joy.
I'm reminded of the last couple lines of the Marine Hymn:
Should the Army or the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines!
From a former Army signaler, Godspeed.
" I may say to those of you also who have been bereavedif you believe in providence you may grieve; but your grief must not be excessive. I remember at a funeral of a friend hearing a pretty parable which I have told before, and will tell again. There was much weeping on account of the loss of a loved one, and the minister put it thus. He said, "Suppose you are a gardener employed by another; it is not your garden, but you are called upon to tend it, and you have your wages paid you. You have taken great care with a certain number of roses; you have trained them up, and there they are, blooming in their beauty. You pride yourself upon them. You come one morning into the garden, and you find that the best rose has been taken away. You are angry: you go to your fellow-servants, and charge them with having taken the rose. They will declare that they had nothing at all to do with it; and one says, "I saw the master walking here this morning; I think he took it." Is the gardener angry then? No, at once he says, "I am happy that my rose should have been so fair as to attract the attention of the master. It is his own: he hath taken it; let him do what seemeth him good."

HOTTIEBOY, thank you. I know that our Lady will be good company for everyone where she is.
carlo3b, I'm so sure that the Lord has made beautiful room for Maggie. She is deserving, and wouldn't it be great if she and Angelique should meet? Also with whoever. Thank you my friend.
ST.LOUIE1, you have been such a comfort to me and I'm sure to the family. Love you.
Old Professor, you are very observant. You better believe that Maggie's life was well ordered. She would have it no other way. Sistah and I were not alike in that. I'm an emotional disaster and order escapes me. Thank you for your prayers and wise words.
STARWISE, Yes, those of us left behind are in pain, but the pain and tears are for ourselves. We know where Maggie is.
hoagy62, thank you for reminding us that it is the Marines who guard the gates and streets of Heaven. Maggie would be the first to report for duty.
May the Lord comfort and heal your hearts.
She is free and perfectly well now. It is those left behind who need to comprehend the solace proffered to us in the Word.
Spurgeon was a wise man. There is danger in excessive grief. I've seen lives ruined by it. I love the rose garden illustration. I will probably use that at a funeral. I'm always needing fresh illustrations. Thank you for your spiritual uplifting. Cyber hugs to you (((((alpha)))))
It is so touching to see all the support Freepers have for her. Her life is truly inspiring.
I am concerned about you dear friend. Be sure to keep in touch so I will know that you are okay. How are you doing so far? Many prayers are being said for your well-being. Hugs ((((Bernie)))). Thank you for posting. I hope you will stay with us. You will need our company in the days ahead. Most of us who were closest friends of Maggie's hang out on a thread called "A Few of Free Republic's Finest". There is a special icon on the FR homepage for the thread because it's a daily thread. Look for the rectanglar idon a short piece down the page in the center. Tomorrow is Military Monday at the Finest and the thread will be dedicated to Maggie. You will be astounded at how much your Lady was loved.
God grace you with peace and comfort. Loveya.
