Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to let her know how much she is loved.
Post your prayers, encouragements, jokes, pictures or memories, so she will have them to read when she gets back home.
I'm so sorry. Prayers being said for family and friends.
Bernie....we all love you. I'm happy to read that she was able to be in her home, to see her baby, to be with you, before God called her Home.
Another Marine reporting, sir.
LadyX, I'll miss you!
My Sincere condolences
Sending prayers to you and your family in this time of loss.
Amen and amen.
Thank You, Lady, lovely words.
God bless Maggie and God bless her friends. We'll pray for her.
May God grant Peace to the soul of a wonderful woman, and Comfort to those she leaves behind.
We've all been blessed by knowing Maggie, and enriched through the stories of her life. She will always live on in our hearts, as will her husband, kids, and grandkids.
JJ
Oh dear, oh no!
My deepest condolences.
So very very sorry to hear this.
Heartfelt prayers for all those feeling the loss of this precious lady.

Nan and all, she was something so special .. full of so much faith, wisdom and humanity. I'm so sorry for the pain I know you feel especially, Nan, for you were "sistahs, bound in spirit," and you will see each other again. I'll never forget our Texas Cowboy threads, and I can't stop thinking about the "Gyrene reunion" that's happening in Heaven. She was so faithful in posting support, God's mercy, jokes and inspiration to him.
One of her amazing posts ... I'll never forget her.

"Ahem --
"Certain Intelligence Reports" have reached me concerning your present billeting, Gyrene. Possible lapses of mission and focus seem to require brief comments:
- Hospital MRE's are *not* worse than the C-rations of our Korean Conflict era.
- It is not appropriate to refer to green Jello as 'putrid slime.'
- It is not proper to refer to lab techs as 'blood-sucking vampires.'
- Your cubicle is not truly solitary confinement, nor the nursing staff 'brig guards.'
Sheesh - thought you had learned more on our days sailing the high seas with ofMagog, coping with all kinds of conditions and situations. During those adventures, we took challenges and peril in stride, even when -- (oops - nevermind..:))
Too long ashore, Marine?
Too many days clambering up oil rigs instead of sailing rigs?
Need to return to MCRD San Diego for a refresher course?
I hear 'The Colonel' has come out of retirement to lead some!!
Shall I have orders cut for you to proceed there immediately, Bucko?
'Tis a long journey we're on, but always keep in mind we Marines march to a "different step."
Speaking of that, if you do not shape up quickly, I might have to call you and play endlessly over the phone my 3 tapes of Parris Island DI cadence calling (a Marine's mother's lullaby) to remind you of that very thing..:))
It is guaranteed to drown out the present distractions and transport you back to the kinds of days you and I share as Right Guides, leading the masses, able to march on Forever!
Go back in your mind to that time, and don't let go of my hand.
Other hands in a long line wait to help us aboard A Final Assignment, at a time designated by The Master of All.
We're not quite there yet, Marine - I, too, see the Gates not far over the horizon, and lean on Him for the strength we know He gives gladly and in full measure if we but believe and look to Him and ask.
We are blessed and know it, and I sing praises and words of thanks to Him for the gifts of you and all our friends....
One of the many incredibly loving Texas Cowboy threads (LadyX's posts start in the 300+ page).

Now, when I think about the posts about the days leading up to this .. the plans and arrangements for her going home, I realize that He was truly preparing her for going to His home, and I've never known of someone so prepared and accepting of this journey, and with so much love and gratitude. What a blessing, Bernie, that she did go home briefly to have that time with you and your family ... a pure blessing, all in His plan.
We miss you, TC and LadyX ... joyful reunion in His heaven .. I can't imagine the raucous welcome. Pray for us ornery mortals down here. I will never forget you.

As for you, my galvanized friend, you want
a heart! You don't know how lucky you are
not to have one. Hearts will never be
practical until they can be made
unbreakable.
TIN MAN
But I still want one.

...back where I come from there are men who
do nothing all day but good deeds. They
are called phil...er -- er -- phil -- er,
yes...good-deed-doers. And their hearts
are no bigger than yours. But! They have
one thing you haven't got! A testimonial!

Therefore, in consideration of your

presenting you with a small token of our
esteem and affection. And remember, my

you love, but by how much you are loved by

Amen, LadyX. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

I'm glad you were blessed with a few hours of communion with her at home.
