Please be in prayer for our LadyX. She will be undergoing surgery tomorrow morning(5/24/06). Any of you who know LadyX, know that she has been a member of our FR Family for a long time and is very much loved and respected. She has inspired us, made us laugh, given us some of the wisest of advice, wowed us with tales of her life in the Marines, and shared her childhood memories of an idealic time. Some will recall the sailing of the Mobius, or the time on the tropical island. We have shared many adventures. Now, it's time to let her know how much she is loved.
Post your prayers, encouragements, jokes, pictures or memories, so she will have them to read when she gets back home.
"Here's the music box I found for Maggie's birthday in May. I'm thinking of getting one for myself."
Oh so lovely!...
you so should!
You both need a matching set of music boxes!!
So that's were that oft used seen pic
comes from in relation to you & Magie...
It's famous on FR!
oops forgot a g in Maggie!
Dat darn letter thief!
LOL!!! If they didn't before, I'll bet they do now! Hoping the Lady is home with the Mr. and Binky soon. : )
Having computer problems, so may not be able to check in as frequently, but I'll certainly still be praying every day.
God bless.
Thank you, (((((Nann)))))
Did you see that I sent Maggie a music box with that picture on it for her birthday?
I was jumping up and down happy when I saw that music box in a Bradford Exchange catalog.
LOL! Wonderful!
No, I didn't know, must have missed that post. It's such a beautiful picture. Maggs loves it, I'm sure. : )
BTW.....I think Billie made it for you and Maggie originally. : )
Amen! Pray every day until they know who she it!
I think that is the sweetest picture of the two prettiest little girls ever, but it was Colleen who found the picture originally and named them for Nan and Maggie. I did use it for the thread about Sistahs of the Soul.
Maggie, sweet, dear Maggie, I think about you and pray for you and miss you so much.
It was deadhead who first found that graphic and put our names on the little girls. Then when Maggie and I met in S.C. she gave me a picture that she put together using that picture surrounded by pressed flowers in a frame. It sits on my desk shelf.
Wow she does beautiful work!
Right up ther with Norman Rockwell
for realistic/ life like form and themes.
Thanks for the pic pings today!
Oh, there you are Billie! I've been looking to catch you and tell you that I miss being with you guys. I hope you understand that it is very difficult for me to be at the Finest right now. I am praying that Maggie gets home tomorrow and that she begins to really heal and can spend time with us again. According to her husband, she is having trouble seeing to read. It will be so hard for her if she can't freep or read.
Did you check out her Gallery? Beautiful.
If I were rich I would buy the 20x24 canvas of "A Sister's Touch". That picture has meant so much to both Maggie and myself.
Yes, I sure can see why that is the case!
Sure does bring back memories. That would be when I was telling Sistah that it's okay to sit on the ground in your best dress before church. Then when she got spanked for it, I was all innocent like...
Hi, Nan. Any news on Maggie? Hoping so much that she got to go home today.
Wow,the last few days have been a bear here. Have been trying to get Maggie back home, but the old devil has been interfering and trying to wreck Maggie's home coming.
I'll try to explain, so bear with me, I groweth weary.
Last Sunday Maggie and I felt we had enough of the nursing home, many things going amuck there. So we put into motion
her leaving for home ASAP.
We got ahold of the Social Worker, telling her of our plan. (so far so good). She would make the arrangements for the hosp bed, wheel chair, and all the other things Maggie would need. Including health care and rehab folks to care for her at home. (sound good so far huh).
I pointed out Maggie's sudden excessive coughing and still the left elbow swollen. O'k that was Sunday, the next day I visited her in the early morning as usual, the cough was more pronounced and non stop. Soooo, they gave her some cough medicine (after consulting with the DR.)
Next day she had to go to dialyses so I returned home, as it is an all day event.
Around noon, received a call from nursing home, telling me the Dr wanted to run a test for to check her heart. (routine) except the hosp only did the test in ER. OK,no alarm bells going off. Just a monitor test. She would take the test after dialysis then go to ER, then return to the nursing home. in the aft6ernoon. Promising that they would call me the results right after the test.
Eleven thirty last night, they called and told me that Maggie was admitted back in the hosp. Seems she has pneumonia. That kind of news keeps you awake fast. Time for more prayer.
Morning came and I was in Maggie's hosp room. She seemed just fine to me. We talked and she mentioned they were coming to get her ready for dialysis around 8AM. Hmmmm.
Time to speak to the nurse and ask why the dialysis again. Asking if it was a bit unusual for that to be done daily? .......Surprise.... she will go tomorrow (Friday).
Time for me to go to the nursing home and check on arrangements for Maggie departure tomorrow (Friday) Insisted that Maggie will not see the humor, if she came home and had to sleep on the floor. (hint to them) Explained that it was not good to unset a Marine.
Looks like she will have her bed early in the morning before she comes home. So with God's help everything will be ready for her return home in the afternoon.
Gosh, I done wore my fingers down two joints with all this typing. I just know Our Lord heard your prayers and answered them. Thank you all.
Oh yeah, Maggie is back in the nursing home, no mention of pneumonia. So she will be home tomorrow or Saturday.
Thank you all,
Dabearone (bernie)
