He doesn't have the nerve to do anything, and Iran knows it. Just calling it like it is.
I'll let you have your opinion. But I have no idea why you think that.

Total and complete support. I am glad to hear Pres. Bush speak those words. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that we will come to the defense of Israel.

Israel has some nauseating liberals too, you know, just like we do. I can see their response being underwhelming. This isn't 1972.

That being said, a majority of Americans have no confidence in Dubya's handling of either. Who is leading this country? Our President or some consortium of a " majority" of Americans.
I'm evaluating the political climate, and Dubya has no credibility right now.
Say the polls? Say the drive by media? Say the New York Times?
If Israel is attacked by Iran there is no uncertainty that America will rally to their aid. That will be the reality.

and that means exactly squat. If Israel is attacked and seriously threatened we will defend. Republican democrat or anyone else. Period. Not even a close call. Treaty obligations, long standing policy, political necessity, strategic interests. There would be no point to fight in Iraq and abandon Israel. So stop whining.

Any Freepers have a problem with this? Nope. Israel is going to need our help since we told them to capitulate to the Pali's on Gaza. Nothing like sending mixed signals.

I feel you, but I don't even think the USA would go nuclear in response to getting hit with 2 or 3 nukes. I don't have much faith in Israel, 2006. Would be good to see them get tough, but I can't say I expect it.

Dubya has no street cred. Just a squinting imp trying to act tough.I do think that if Bush were tougher and more ruthless, the Muslim world would certainly respect him and Iraq would not have dragged on so long. We need to quit fighting a civilized war with an uncivilized people.

What are you talking about? If they are attacked, they will not sit there like fools. You really don't seem to know what you are talking about.

I'm talking about Iran nuking Tel Aviv. I wouldn't expect the USA or what's left of Israel to nuke anybody in the aftermath. I just don't see it. I'd like to be wrong in this case.

No one says it wouldn't suck for a while. Economic repercussions wouldn't stop us from protecting Taiwan from China, and it sure won't stop us from protecting (or avenging) Israel.
To: HitmanLV
but I don't even think the USA would go nuclear in response to getting hit with 2 or 3 nukes. You have got to be joking....the politicans would be politicans....its the American people who would demand the government go Roman on someone.
