...the Connecticut Association of United Hispanic Agencies Inc. at the Hartford Civic Center... said Clinton decided not to attend because of a protest planned by the Greater Hartford-New Britain Building and Construction Trades Council. The council announced that it was holding the rally to protest ING Group Inc., which had been a sponsor of Saturday's event, because of its decision to not guarantee work for minority contractors and other Connecticut construction workers as it builds a new facility in Windsor... Carmen Sierra, executive director of CAUSA, said the trades council demanded last week that ING withdraw because of the dispute. She said ING did withdraw its involvement and financial support for the event earlier this week, but the trades council then reneged on an agreement it made with CAUSA about the protest.

It's hell when two voting blocks you want to pander to don't get along.
Exactly...that is what we want in a POTUS, isn't it???
LOL
LOL!
Hitlery has to decide whether to pander to the blacks or hispanics, and she chose the blacks.
Hey, you don't have to tell me, I spend a lot of time on FreeRepublic. ;'D
[rimshot!]
That piece wouldn't venture anywhere where it might be uncomfortable. Can you imagine her in an actual, fair debate?
HA!
Yeah, I agree. The black vote will not go easily to anyone who has a lessez faire approach to illegal immigration.
Is Hillary chicken? Afraid of controversy?
I wholeheartedly agree, but this may not be a good time to mention that John McCain did venture into a hostile venue, and came out the better for it.

A story about her not going somewhere isn't going to make much news. Had she shown up, the cameras would have been rolling, and this little partisan squabble would have gotten a great deal of coverage.
Hey, I just had an idea: if we can get some goofy group or another (and particularly the unions) to "protest" where any dem plans to speak, we can prevent the dems from speaking in public until after the elections.
She always worries me: SHE CHEATS.
Why won't she just fade away quietly?
....or why doesn't a house fall on her...quickly!
It's a little thing known as Hobson's Choice. This was the only way through the mess.
