In a Tijuana speech yesterday, Mexican President Vicente Fox opposed the U.S. sending the National Guard to the border.

"Walls are not the solution,” Fox said ...

You're right, Vicente. The real solution would be to reform your cruddy government and miserable economy so that half your population wouldn't be dying to leave the country.

Then I propose we set up minefields and interloping fields of fire... ;)

It sounds like regime change may be the solution. Six thousand national guard troops ought to be about right to do the job. /s

Considering how effective Fox has been at keeping his people from crossing the border he'll have to forgive us for not really giving two hoots what he thinks may or may not be solution.

Well,if that's case,Vincente, then open up your southern borders.Until you do that,we'll know that you're motivated by a desire to get all those Western Union Moneygrams from the US,which make up something like 33% of your nation's gross per capita income.

Walls are 'just good'. There is better for these
infectious hepatitis-, incurable tuberculosis-, typhoid-, cholera-, plague-, measles-, mumps-,
Chagas disease-, leprosy-, incurable Morgellons diseas-,
Dengue fever-, and polio-infested illegal aliens and terrorists.

I guess he is staying true to his agreement at W's ranch to integrate Mexico with US and Canada.

My advice to Fox. Sit down and shut up jackass! Make your nation a place where people can work hard and better themselves instead of herding your massive ranks of poor to the border.

"I agree with him. Walls are not the solution. Minefields are........."

I disagree. Walls are a signifigant deterrent, especially if they are high enough. Having said that, minefields would make some fence hoppers think twice. I also think the concept of the USA-Mexican border as a ground unmanned Search and Destroy proving ground should not be ruled out.

Illegal immmigration is totally out of control, is a threat to our social fabric, and needs to be aggressively countered.

We wouldn't really have to use a lot of mines. Just tell the public that there are some here and there, somewhere over the rainbow..........
