Pennsylvania Democrat John 'cut and run' Murtha, the Congressman from Al-Qaeda, has once again opened his mouth and stirred a little controversy. He is accusing the United States Marines of killing Iraqi civilians...on purpose, in cold blood.
This time he is referring to a March incident that was reported in Time magazine and one that the military is investigating. The story goes that 15 Marines walked right into a civilian house throwing grenades and shooting...killing 15 Iraqis, including women and children. That's right...the U.S. Marines go around killing innocent people for no reason. That must be some military we have!
According to Murtha: "Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood." Murtha knows this, of course, because he was there. Except he wasn't. Perhaps he should keep his mouth shut until the investigation concludes.
Just whose side is he on, anyway? It doesn't appear to be ours. He's sure lovin' the controversy though. Hey, I wasn't a Marine, but I grew up in the Marine Corps. I can tell you that no Marine worth his salt is ever going to accuse another Marine of murdering someone in cold blood unless he has the incontrovertible evidence to prove the charge. So ... Murtha the Mouth ... let's see it!
Done. Thanks for the link.
This worth repeating, IMHO.
"If you want anything done on the committee, you go to Murtha."
He's delivered so much pork to his congressional district, an airport and a major highway are named after Murtha.
Ashdown and his nonpartisan watchdog group criticized Murtha for using the $417 billion fiscal 2005 Pentagon spending bill to give business to his lobbyist brother.
The Los Angeles Times in June reported that Murtha funneled nearly $21 million to 10 or more corporate clients of KSA Consulting, where Robert "Kit" Murtha is a senior partner.
Carmen Scialabba, a Murtha congressional aide for 27 years, is also a high-ranking official at KSA.
The thanks go to you Jaxter. Diana Irey has a real chance to defeat this disgrace of a Congressman.
BTTT
I can't see it happening, honestly. But maybe we've got a JAG or someone knowledgeable about this topic reading the thread.
I just received word from someone close to Ms. Irey's campaign that they have received about 50 online contributions since 9pm EDT last night. Plus numerous phone calls requesting the campaign address, and a significant spike in website hits.
Thank you Free Republic, for sending a message to Mr. Murtha, and especially to our troops! And thanks to all the other interested forums following this despicable behavior and promoting Murtha's opponent - Diana Irey.
Now, why does this come as no surprise?
I wonder if there is a district attorney up there that could be encouraged to look into this in much the same manner that Ronnie Earle has prosecuted Tom DeLay? This time it would be a legitimate investigation, wouldn't it?
Would Murtha do the honorable thing and step down? Something tells me that he wouldn't be able to define the word even with a Webster's dictionary at his disposal.
I watched his performance on HARDBOILED the other night, on one of my short and infrequent channel-surfing stops there: He's more than an A$$-clown, he's dangerous.
Looks to me like he's been out with Fat Teddy K.
Dear Congressman Murtha,
F*** you traitor!
Love,
Jarhead
Bump for Diana Irey and an obscene gesture for the senile traitor.
"Bump for Diana Irey and an obscene gesture for the senile traitor."
Coop....I'll see your "obscene gesture" and raise ya a good old fashioned "blanket party". I can think of nothing more fitting for an insane puke that will so quickly attempt to frag (figuratively or otherwise) his Brothers.
Semper Fi!
John Murtha - Semper Treasonous
But that sell-out pales in comparison to last night's outrageous proclamation that U.S. Marines, in cold blood, murdered innocent Iraqis. Last I checked there was still an investigation going on.
I'm sorry the dishonorable John Murtha found camera time more important than protecting the protectors of our nation. If the Marines are found guilty, they will pay dearly. If they are found not guilty, how does Mr. Murtha propose to give them back their reputations? And how will he explain away his continued public encouragement of the terrorists, the ones killing and wounding the very soldiers he says are failing?
This former Marine has no problem telling that EX-Marine traitor to resign his office immediately. But I expect no such honorable action from Murtha or his party. Instead, I'm sending a few dollars to his worthy opponent - Diana Irey - in the hopes she'll boot that disgrace into retirement.
Great job Coop! Let us know if it gets published and of course, start a thread! ;*)
Thanks. If the Times passes, I'm gonna try sending a similar letter to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
