NO! NO! NO!

Time for an "English Only" amendment and national vote!!!
All this breaking up and dividing everything in so many languages is breaking up the unity of this country!

When I was teaching they used to send home information packets in multiple languages, which skyrocketed the costs of printing for the school's budget. Ridiculous!!

English is the language of the United States. We don't go to other countries and demand that they change everything into English for us, why is the US considered racist, etc. if we don't do that here?!

Miami and other major cities have had bilingual signs for decades. What's the big deal?

And just where are all the other languages? Are we not a country of immigrants? Where's the button for Gaelic?

My Celtic ancestry is deeply offended.

Because this is the United States of America, and not the United States of Mexico? (Or any other country in the world)

I lived in Mexico for 2 years. When I first got there I spoke NO Spanish, nada, and somehow I was able to take mass transit, get taxis, buy food without a single word of English... I didn't expect it.

This is white guilt runamuck.

Exactly. Not one dang dime of my money should be spent on crap like this. Call your reps and complain and demand it stop!

EVERYTIME I see a FOX immigration story I see this sign that say's MEXICO with an arrow.....the odd thing about it is...one is printed in blue with white lettering, the other is white with blue lettering....both are on the same metal sign, both use the same lettering...M E X I C O with an arrow....same spelling...why is it printed twice?

"What about longstanding German speaking enclaves (Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Indiana Amish and Mennonites), French speaking enclaves (northern Maine and Cajun Lousiana),..."

Show me one of those where the road signs, transit schedules, etc. are in other than English?

Can't do it, can you?
Why do you suppose that is?

I'll give you a clue: the official language of this country is... c'mon, you can say it... English!
