All this breaking up and dividing everything in so many languages is breaking up the unity of this country!

When I was teaching they used to send home information packets in multiple languages, which skyrocketed the costs of printing for the school's budget. Ridiculous!!

English is the language of the United States. We don't go to other countries and demand that they change everything into English for us, why is the US considered racist, etc. if we don't do that here?!

I lived in Mexico for 2 years. When I first got there I spoke NO Spanish, nada, and somehow I was able to take mass transit, get taxis, buy food without a single word of English... I didn't expect it.

EVERYTIME I see a FOX immigration story I see this sign that say's MEXICO with an arrow.....the odd thing about it is...one is printed in blue with white lettering, the other is white with blue lettering....both are on the same metal sign, both use the same lettering...M E X I C O with an arrow....same spelling...why is it printed twice?

It's interesting that this is occurring in the face of new debate in Congress focused on making ENGLISH the national language of the US.

The debate would be gathering dust by now had the Senate addressed a bill introduced by CA senator S.I Hayakawa in the 70s to make English our national language. At the time, they virtually laughed him off of the senate floor.
