They are going to get a big fence. Hell! I want a fence to. I think everyone does, but I doubt that will placate the most hardliners who seemed to have whipped themselves into a frenzy.
Very.
I do want the borders sealed...particular those that the terrorist have been using up north.
History will write that the Republicans became a minority party because of the immigration reform of 2006 amd the complicity of the mainstream media and their BS polls.
There's no need for the Dems to have their dead vote any longer. They can truly RIP.
THe only thing that can save us is a WMD detonating in a few liberal-sucking cities...or if God kept it raining in Massachusetts for another forty days and nights.
Exactly. FR is one strange masquerade Ball. Sometimes it is even a smidge Twilight Zoney.
Then that should be YOUR mission. Focus on the north.
Many others will focus on the south.
The senators and representatives will hear it loud and clear: seal the borders, north and south.
It seems petty to hit the abuse button on it, but maybe if we all did, the guilty ones would be noticed and eventually called on it.
It is a regular occurance, and IMO, despicable.
(Especially since we women are the smart ones anyway. ;)
For the record --
I have had CSPAN on the Senate channel all afternoon. At least half of the time no one is speaking in the Senate Chamber. Where is the "debate?" Does every one know how they plan to vote before they hear a word of argument? Why don't they have virtual Senate votes and then they would not ever have to show up in DC. What a charade!
I do not want to call you names, if I did, I apologize (I did call someone else names last night). I do want you to know that some of the things you are saying are kind of weird sounding, much like the Kos screeds. That is not name calling.
I think your example of Schlafly is true, she has promoted conservative values for a long time. I think she has gone a bit over the edge on this issue myself.
I do know we disagree on this issue in one area. I do not believe this one issue is enough to take away all the rest of what I believe in, you seem to think it is big enough to take away everything else.
I think that is the disagreement. Did I say it correctly?
As to the marginalization and name calling........I have used the term border bot to belittle those who call me and others who agree with me Bush bots. I have not called you a border bot, and have tried not to call you a name. The border bots started the name calling, not me. I think the term I use is more correct, and a little humorous considering it's simple turn about. I disagree with Bush on quite a few things, including the border issue. I agree with him enough on other issues more important to me, ie WOT, abortion, free enterprise, conservative judges to support him in this representative republic of ours, and am willing to cut him some slack as this debate roars through since he appears to be responding postively for the first time. The consequences of becoming a border bot are as I said in my prior post, it puts in jeopardy every thing else you and I believe in.
Please address that if you would, and explain why you think it doesn't.
You might as well get the chain-mail out and start polishing it. Two complaints that go together so often are "selling us out of the border" and "big government spender".
If it makes any difference, a little over half of the first generation southern border immigrant population in my area vote straight GOP. And sometimes the percentage is even higher.
I have generally found that people who chose to come here to work hard (Not the punks along the southern border who are here only to make trouble) and make a life for themselves actually appreciate what America has to offer. That almost automatically makes them conservative.
WOW, same though process, same action, same result here. Thought I was the only one. Nice to know I'm not alone.
LOL, I bet it was.....like herding cats.
Very good Dog, I am with you 100% on your post.
I will continue to blast the trolls, even if the moderators do not zot them.
It seems the Mods have been lax.
Ops4
That is my position as well. I just disagree with JimRob and the mods as to the most likely way for the Dems to come to power, and that is why I debate this issue.
I think President Bush's guest worker proposal is causing serious harm to the re-election chances of the House GOP members. Your opinion may vary. But I am not calling for a boycott of the GOP this election - to the contrary, I am asking of Bush that he shelve his guest worker proposal for now and call for even more border security as to help the GOP in the November elections. Bush, once again, will never run for re-election. But his fate as president hinges directly on the GOP holding the House. He needs to be on the same side of those guys on this issue and not playing footsie with Senate Dems and RINOs to get his immigration agenda passed.
and not whine that the Mods are taking the side of the owner of the forum.
Mods also have their own regular screen names. IMO they should post tehir opinions under those screen names.
