get a room
And therein lies the problem...
If respectful discourse were not allowed, I would have yanked this thread long ago.
Republican Presidents, elected by the people, nominated and supported two liberal judges who were confirmed. Electing Republicans doesn't always lead to conservative policy much less conservative judges.
The current President tried to get another liberal judge on the court. He finally settled for two justices that some people think might be conservative. Time will tell if they are correct or incorrect.
Shooting all immigrants on sight? Does anybody actually propose that around here or is that something of a myth? I've never seen that proposed on any thread.
Excellent response, no Threats, no insults, let me know if you get any response to your query
Boxer, Feinstein, Obama, and Hillary voted for it. Looks like its going to pass. Not sure what the 500 miles of vehicle barriers would look like. Is that bigger than a fence?
Posting that reads like a DUmmy is going to make people think the poster is one.
funny how that works....
As for BJClinton....I guess I missed whatever belt comment you are talking about, but I was only referring to Xeno's post as troll-like.
LOL!
Now, if he'd only write "I will not troll FR" a thousand times (and mean it).
Hmmmm,
wanna see my broccoli?
yeah, you're right....
I'm only here every single day
Rolling eyes!
Dont be like that. As a moderator you are a representative of Free Republic.
Such posts exist, just not for long. When you see an immigration thread littered with "removed by moderator" posts, you can bet that there was a reason that the posts were removed.
I'm not in S. Texas (it's a different world down there; always has been), but the question as posed is over-simplified for several reasons. The majority of less-than-3rd-or-2nd-generation Hispanic voters in South Texas does vote Democrat overwhelmingly. The majority of greater-than-3rd-or-2nd-generation Hispanic voter in South Texas might still vote Democrat but it can't be just any Democrat (I don't think Hillary would do well among them, for instance), since they really prefer the old-style, Kika de la Garza, boll-weevil-type democrat. Further, (and I by no means advocate this)it is well known among South Texans that hispanics down there will vote for a Republican with an hispanic surname before they vote for a Democrat with a NON-hispanic surname every time. Meanwhile, in West Texas where I live (and a whole different world from South Texas), the divide between the former group and the latter group of generational hispanic mentioned above could not be greater. Really two different "sub-ethnicities". All of the hispanics I know around here, most of whom have been here greater than 3 generations, vote Republican.
"Goldberg! Goldberg! Goldberg!" George Orwell wrote a book about your kind of politics. Deviationism is death, love is hate, blah blah blah. Sorry, not drinking any Kool-Aid over here. But go ahead if you like.
There's a difference between compromise and selling out America and Americans.
Sorry for stating the obvious then. LOL
She really loves dogs. We have a mastiff and she got along great with him. She was teaching my little girls how to train him to do tricks.
Can't believe she's gone.
You know I think the border security issue is important, but not to the exclusion of all the rest.
The border bots exclude all other issues, I don't see it that way. I bet if you ask PD, he doesn't like what's happening there either, and wants security to be much, much better.
I sure hope you don't throw all the rest of the stuff you believe overboard for the one issue, I know I'm not. I also know I'm going to work and support those who want better border security. I think it's the number 3 issue, pretty high on my list, and I like that Bush is being pushed to make it better.......and he did respond better than I thought he would. I've posted the quotes. They're good, they're progress, so I'm going to cut some slack for him here.
If and when I see him supporting a fast road to citizenship, I will oppose it as vigorously as you do. So far, that is not happening, not one bit despite the border bot screeches.
