This morning President and Mrs. Bush greeted Australian Prime Minister John Howard and his wife, Janette to the White House in an official South Lawn Arrival Ceremony as part of a state visit, followed by a meeting of the two leaders in the Oval Office, and a joint statement to the press in the East Room. There will be an official State Dinner at the White House this evening.
This afternoon President Bush congratulated the WNBA 2005 National Champion, Sacramento Monarchs at a ceremony in the East Garden of the White House, where he accepted a shirt and championship ring.
There has never been a greater need for Sanity on Free Republic so WELCOME to the Daily Dose! Lots of great pictures today............Enjoy!
Holy smokes! (Now THERE's an old exclamation) No, I didn't know that, Mike. I DO know that Al Gore's father was partially financed by Armand Hammer, an admitted communist who wanted to BUY elected officials.
REMEMBER: The President will sign the new TAX CUT legislation tomorrow!
AND JUST HOW ARE ALL OF OUR "BUSH IS A BIGGER SPENDER THAN LBJ" PALEOCON WACKOS GOING TO REACT TO THE FOLLOWING NEWS: [FYI: President Reagan still holds the record for the largest deficit as a percentage of GDP -- almost 4x that projected for 2007!!!]
U.S. BUDGET DEFICIT WILL BE HALVED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE, SNOW SAYS [Despite a HOT war, (inheriting) a recessionary economy, (dealing with) the worst hurricane in American history, and on and on!]
May 16 (Bloomberg) -- Surging tax revenue will help President George W. Bush meet his deficit-reduction pledge ahead of schedule, Treasury Secretary John Snow said.
``The president's target of cutting the deficit in half is going to be exceeded and it's going to be done ahead of schedule,'' Snow said. ``We're coming up on that target now.''
Bush promised to the cut the deficit in half to about 2 percent of gross domestic product before he leaves office in 2009. Higher-than-expected tax inflows mean the administration will reach that goal by the end of fiscal 2007 or even sooner, Snow said in a news conference in Washington today.

Night all!
Woo Hoo!
WTG President Bush!
He is very quiet and shy and is concerned that the kids would make fun of him because of his injuries. He has a dedicated wife that is doing her best to encourage him. Their little girl stole my heart at first sight!
There are so many disgusting freepers that I am ASHAMED of this forum.
GREAT stuff, Deb! Tony's gonna pound this economic stuff, I can feel it in my blood. This is GOOD!
You're welcome! It's worth the sore back and tired fingers. ;)
Thanks Fudd! We had a big week-end last week with the pinkos camped out in front of the WH.
Tell him to be proud of his injuries, he suffered them for his country. Very few things are more noble than that
-;)
You are mighty welcome....I have loved to see you working over the idiots on the threads!
Anytime you see the words 'jorge' or 'shrub' or other DU speak, you can count the minutes before they give themselves away. If you challenge them, they lose their bearings and get all angry and superior. You can then set your clock on how soon they will draw the mods attention and be gone.
Will do
0 + 0 = 0
Put me on your ping list for John please. I adore that man! ;-) For his mind, of course, his hair is silly. lol
Pinz
He pretty much gave that up. Don't know if he's still around or not, but if ever there was a leftist insult (and from an unattractive feminazi too), it is 'shrub.'
I'm beginning to wonder......
They both look gorgeous ;) .. thanks, OWF. How wonderful to honor one of our most loyal and staunch allies .. John Howard's a right decent man and great friend. Is there any coverage on the dinner?
I would agree if President Bush broke some kind of promise he made to these so called conservatives. But the fact is.... President Bush has not changed his position on the border situation in any kind of major way, He ran in 2000 as somebody who was for a Guest Worker Program, and did so again in 2004.
My only complaint about GWB's Administration is their unwillingness to confront the lies told about him. It seems to me that before his response to the claim that the NSA was trolling Phone numbers of Millions of Americans, GWB jumped on this issue with both feet, and it isn't over yet :-)
I can't tell you how many times I jumped up out of my seat and screamed at him for not confronting the left wing media elites. If GWB confronted the left wing media 1/10th of the fury he has the Taliban or Al-Quada, they would be on the endangered species list by now
