I heard on Fox that there is consideration being made to send troops along the border. Let's hope that the President's address to the nation includes that action.

I know. But why dig for information when you can just hurl feces?

My point is I think Tony Snow is in touch with building a fence and stopping the influx of illegals
Not according to some of the positions he took on his talk show. He was very against both of those.

How about "doing jobs Americans won't do for the same wage to keep the same growing economy and tax surpluses"?
To: rightwingintelligentsia
Thankfully it won't pre-empt '24'. ;-) My thoughts exactly.....
To: Coop
This thread is a hoot. On the matter of illegal immigration, the resident panty-twisters have become our own version of DU.

No fence, no credibility. We've been lied to long enough.

"The beginning of the Tony Snow era." I was just getting ready to make that connection myself, when I read yours. Gotta reinforce it with a bttt!!
BTW - I think Bush's "immediate" response yesterday to the bogus story in USA Today was a "Tony Snow" prompt, too. :)

This was going to happen eventually. Go back and look at the Dems. They were calling for total amnesty from the beginning. This is less than what they wanted....and it came under a Republican Administration.
Just like the Prescription program passed during the Republican Administration, the Dems via Hillary will now complain that the new immigration bill is "all wrong" and should be scrapped.
Her last big move in Rochester NY was on the environment and her invention of wind, corn and sun as energy sources. She is indeed the smartest woman in the world!! :-)

He damn well better NOT say anything about "doing jobs Americans won't do" Well, then, you'd better not watch...cause like a wreck in NECKCAR (that's NASCAR, for those in Rio Linda), that line is coming...sooner or later.
I voted for the President as an anyone but Clinton or his stench (Gore) in 2000, and would have crawled over broken glass to do it in 2004. But I am also realistic, and I know that the line is coming...unless somehow his incoming Press Secretary tells him that "jobs Americans won't do" will go down in history with "read my lips: no new taxes" as a line that will sink a President named George Bush.

Let's see, what am I supposed to say? Oh yea....
If Jorge don't put Apache helicopters and M1A tanks on border and ship every single one of those illegals back to Mexico in 30 days, I won't vote for him or any other Republican ever again.
How is that? Is that tough enough?
To: Severa
Local radio news about 10 seconds ago: "President Bush will address the nation Monday evening about the immigration situation - trying to build support for the compromise bill in the Senate that promises to offer a path to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants." (not a direct quote, but you get the idea)

Good morning.
Dane is on a roll this morning. He has written several posts and they've all been insulting and void of any content.
He must be afraid that W might have seen the light and be planning to defend the border.

Thank you for posting these. I would much rather know what the President actually says/does on the issue versus what people say he said or did.. there is a BIG difference.
