ORLANDO, Fla. - President Bush, his approval ratings at a record low, acknowledged Wednesday that war in Iraq and rising gas prices have created "battle fatigue" among many Americans.
That anxiety, Bush said, has settled over much of the nation as people worry about whether the United States will succeed in Iraq and how they will afford to fill up their tanks.
"There's a sense of disquiet because of the war in Iraq," said Bush, in an hour-long interview with the Orlando Sentinel and six other Florida newspapers.

When it comes to vacuous and worthless replies on subjects of great importance, yea. But it wouldn't be so bad if I thought the replies were based on just plain ignorance, as I can overlook ignorance as it can be corrected by being informed, but the comments directed to me are based on the fact it is quite obvious that the member opposite doesn't have or can't make a cogent argument to defend her position based on the facts. One might feel poorly because I burst the bubble that is her comfort zone. Too bad. Your man, and mine, has screwed up, screwed up our nation, and we will all be made to pay for it come election day.
Figure out what you need to do and do it. "Piffle" is not a response worthy of these threads.
Respecting 220, rehashing the Clinton years doesn't make the Bush present debacle look any better. If it does to you then you are quite a "feeling" person, but not much of a thinker.
If I throw a stick, will you leave?
Bush could adopt the Democratic platform word for word and the Bush-bots on this site would still love him.
...as long as he still has the (R) next to his name...
Now that is truly an "original" post./s
Thanks!
You're welcome.
Believe, me, I don't like "piffle" as a response, either! But you could have just let it go.
hmmm....come back to reality... Bush aint a King, there are over 300 people on capital hill that are just as to blame...
Though, I may not care for some of the decisions made by the Prez, he still is the prez and any criticism can be done nicely. Besides, Bush isn't to blame...
Why thank you. And for everyones info, I disagree with Bush a little bit more than I care for too. I wish I didn't need to.
So after we kick all the illegals out how do we get the menial labor done? With full employment there is a shortage of entry level workers, where are they going to come from. Not welfare or HS kids, what is the answer?
Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters
You mean when she becomes President again.
And as you read more stories about this particular issue, you'll find that this NSA program was ongoing during the Clintons' first administration as well.
I don't "let" things do. I am not conditioned by the feeling types like social workers, therapists, and in businesses and industries where women predominately work, for example, hospitals and public school systems. I act on transgressions because I am the man that women marry and vote for because they know when a burglar enters I will fight to the death if necessary to defend them.
LOL!
You are apparently the kind of woman men don't marry, unless of course they are the mommy's boy type, living at home until some fat woman comes along with an income.
I love this...keep going! You amuse me.
If I amuse you need to get out more, or, you are exactly the type I peg you for, vacuous, in addition to the physical attributes I suggested, not too kind however, but correct.
