I don't even know what were supposed to be scared of?

After many years of research, Iran has made hundreds of centrifuges. I can't remember the exact number.

My point is that it takes thousands to actually make a bomb. And Iran is 10 plus years awy from that goal.

Even if they do eventually create a bomb...whose to say they would even use it?

Look to India and Pakistan as examples. Both are nuclear powers, both accuse each other of terrorism. Both have a terrible history of violence.

I've yet to read anything that would give the slightest hint of one country wanting to use their nukes on the other.

Iran just wants to puff its chest.

That's all.

And that aint gonna hurt no one.

Especially me or my family.

Divide your ten years by 5. That's how long we've got before you can kiss New York City goodbye.

"Iran just wants to puff its chest."

You seem to think that making nukes is the only way to get them. You're mistaken.

Besides, there's all sorts of mischief they could try, short of floating a nuke into Baltimore Harbor or something. For example, they could get frisky in the Strait of Hormuz or the Panama Canal. A USS Cole-type attack at either would put a big dent in world commerce. They could send a few jihadis with shoulder-fired missiles to loiter around some airports, then shoot at a few airliners in a simultaneous attack. (They wouldn't even have to hit their targets to cause havoc.) They could send some suicide bombers to a couple of packed stadiums. There are all sorts of ways for them to cause trouble if they decide the U.S. is not going to accept their invitation to Islam, which as Mansfield notes has been a warning of attack.

This is not the time to stick one's head in the sand, not when the enemy may be telling you, as his religion requires, that an attack is imminent.

You obviously have not been reading any of the threads regarding Iran. The President of Iran is trying to bring the apocalypse so that the reign of the 12th Imam can begin. He is building a hotel to house this re-born Imam. This 12th Imam is to crawl out of a well in Tehran to punish the "Non-believers". This is not speculation, this is what this nut wants to do. He has said several times in their press.

Iran is considered to already have at least some nuclear weapons already purchased by Russia black market via Ukraine and former Soviet Baltic states. In regards to India/Pakistan neither country has ever threatened Israel or the USA with nuclear destruction. North Korea has nukes and the missle payload to deliver them as far as Alaska. When countres threaten nuclear annihalation, it needs to be taken seriously.

I have hundreds of centrifuges in my basement too,
although there is no reason for you to believe either of us.

"I don't even know what were supposed to be scared of?"

Mmmmm. Perhaps that silly old axis of evil again. Our president has just named a military General to head up the CIA (now why would he have done that out of the blue?), and North Korea reportedly has hardened biofacilities trying to tinker with the current avian flu. Now who do you think they could market that to(since they have to market something before they starve to death?) Not to mention one of the local networks has just shown a bird flu TV movie and referred everyone to pandemicflu.gov just in case you didn't get your fill of fear from the regular news.

Laura Mansfield is most likely correct in her analysis.

I'll bet you don't know a lot about anything.
You'll also be the first to squeal like a piggie when the $hit hits the fan.

I worry more about what Iran has bought, than what Iran has made.

If Iran had a reasonably intelligent leader, or even a reasonably corrupt Mullah running the show I would agree with you, but this guy is such a total fruitcake I am not taking any bets.

.....Iran just wants to puff its chest. ....

I think you are wrong.

Please recall this man captured and humiliated American hostages. They were captured on the American soil of our embasssy embassy. He defeated America once and thinks he can do it again. The world turned it's head and smiled approval.

There can be no more dangerous threat. He has made the required warnings. We should take his fanaticism for real.,
