Convicted Sept. 11 conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui says he lied on the witness stand about being involved in the plot and wants to withdraw his guilty plea because he now believes he can get a fair trial.

In a motion filed Friday but released today, Moussaoui said he testified March 27 he was supposed to hijack a fifth plane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House "even though I knew that was a complete fabrication."

In Supermax he'll hear nothing at all. He's basically denied any human contact forever. 23 hours a day alone in a cement box is more or less it..Guess he's freaking out in there after only 3 days..he has a LONG LONG way to go ..Too bad jihad boy .

" Supermaxes have been called by the prisoners, "torture chambers," where they are subjected to flagrant human rights and civil liberties violations, and appalling psychological and physical abuses. In a lawsuit filed by Ohio prisoners at the state's supermax prison in 2002, Keith Garner, a prisoner confined at the prison, bluntly told a judge that the conditions at the prison were "like being in a tomb."

...sorta like being buried alive. I think I like that.

just great.

maybe with good behavior, and a ruling from the 9th circuit forcing supermax to install a tennis court, he can do a doubles match with the Unabomber and some gang bangers from MS13.

I'd play my violin for Mr. Garner and all the other Supermax prisoners, but I left it at home. :)

Soon some lib will deem the super max cruel and unusual and watzizname have to be released. In 20 years or less, will there be any punishment that's not cruel and unusual? To me, the super max looks more cruel than a death sentence - not sure how UNUSUAL it would be. By the way, does a punishment have to be both cruel and unusual? Must it meet both criteria? I think the "usual" death penalty would have been the just one - death without possibility of appeal.

...does anyone really think another clinton like baboon wouldn't release him after a few years as a jester of good faith?.
No one thought the Dummies would turn against the military either...read the headlines today?. Why we can't have him as the head of the CIA.....he's he's...why he's military.
If he takes off his uniform...maybe. But we support our troops..HOGWASH!!

(note...I guess the "tax gouging" thing has died down...they successfully avoided doing anything about high taxes on gasoline...the payoff of $100.00 was just so incredibly stupid...it had the effect they wanted tho, make it so stupid we'll be able to move on to something else, and our friends in the MSM will drop it)

Is it not wrong for a member of the Cult of Eternal Erection to lie to someone who isn't. According to this mind altering cult, you can lie, cheat, break contracts with Christians and Jews, Mohammed said it is not only right but encouraged.

the cell has an 8 inch flat screen TV as I recall, they beam in educational videos and religious services. and he will get his religiously mandated meals.

I am telling you - alot of people in Manhattan would love to have a studio apartment with these amenities offered at supermax.

Sentence him to life in Massachusetts as a 'free' man. Let the Kennedys deal with him. They've got all kinds of things he can blow up.

This is the intent...to make the U.S. like every other socialist weenie nation with no death penalty...to make us more civilized like most European countries. Yeah...civilized all right....along with a high rate of crime, particularly among repeat offenders. And let's not forget that in most of these countries, firearms for ordinary citizens are prohibited.

He has responsibility in deaths of 3000 people and billions of dollars in property damage and economic consequences, if he has to suffer then that's just too damn bad. If it was up to me, his one hour a day would be spent locked in a cell with a gang of white supremacists.

I am telling you, you give the left enough time and enough appeals and the right judges - and they will get a court order forcing these supermax prisons to close, or open up and provide more prisoner "amenities".

Maybe Air America can give him his own radio show from jail. Hollywood will start organizing "Free Moussaoui" benefit concerts and the Pope will be calling for his release. The French will lobby the US to transfer him to France to serve out the remainder of his sentence and then release him a few weeks later. Moussaoui will then write a book, become a millionaire, and retire to the French Riviera with the only 72 virgins left in France. A movie will be made of his life and the UK will confer an honorary OBE on him.

My understanding is that in federal court you can only withdraw your plea if the judge deviates from the agreed upon sentence. I've seen this happen. I don't know what was agreed upon when he pleaded.

I know in Georgia you can withdraw a guilty plea by right for a period after sentencing. I wouldn't be surprised if this ploy is successful.

Should have been tried in a military court.
