"the dangers of Ambien"I've been prescribed Ambien for jet lag and international travel, and the idea that the recommended dosage would cause "sleep driving", intoxicated behavior, and car crashes is ludicrous.
Even if you wake up after 3 or 4 hours (the reason they have the new Ambien time-release scrip), the worst effect is that you wake up and feel a little woozy. Not intoxicated.

I would recommend against sleep meds because they do leave you groggy, and you can become dependent on them. One herbal that works wonders is Valerian Root, or a combo Herbal called "nerve" that can be purchased at Health Food Stores for about $8.00 and is made by "Solaray". This product does not leave you groggy in the Am and is good for insomnia, and anxiety and muscle spasms that can contribute to your inability to fall asleep.

Yeah, but try mixing phenegran, ambien and lots of booze and see what you get--it's zombie time.
