Of course, they will probably find other dirty polling tricks to dilute those numbers, but they can't push-poll the election, and they can't determine the percent of each party that get to vote in the election like they can in their polls.
Polls are for people that can't think for themselves.
legislative =legislature
NO,,I am in the minority but in my humble opinion, Hillary is not about sex, with anyone, male of female.
See, that is why girls hated her. I will bet all I have that she was the outsider with girls, not because she was gay but because something in her soul didn't fit. Girls know how to cull the herd and Hillary did not receive slumber party invites.
Chris Matthews starts his show off asking if Republicans are heading for a melt down
I'd like to see his college transcripts and SAT scores. With the way President Bush has been belittled for his scores (pre grade inflation and SAT "recentering"), it would make an interesting comparison.
Rats. Thanks. It IS surprising nobody has thought to mention this to Biden. Then again, would Biden listen or learn anything? Doubt it.
No smack down?
Well, I hope there are enough of you women Hillary haters to keep her from becoming our worst nightmare--President of the United States in 2008. I don't have a lot of confidence that will be the case. But, I REALLY hope I am WRONG!
No doubt, On F&F, Wallace was defending Pat.Kennedy saying he kew him as sweet little kid and his childhood surroundings are the reason for his troubles.
Ed gave a nice reply, asking him " so you say his childhood is comparable to Mussoui's like?". Wallace was caught off guard.
Bush must let Tony be Tony. Could be the best move in this administration.
Tomorrow is Tony's first gaggle and presser and will probably be viewed by more people than the Watergate hearings.
:-)
I know I'll be watching and recording.
It would be fun to be in treatment with Patrick Kennedy. He must catch sooo much crap from the other patients there. I'd love a recording of some of their group sessions.
The idea that a major political figure in this country thinks that we can have clean government WITHOUT free speech should be a matter of grave concern for all Americans.
Or else John McCain is an idiot and the media gave him another free pass.
Thanks and to others that given me info.
or at least a laugh track or slow ballad to accompany his comment?
I love Laura Ingraham, but she just won't stop whining and whining and whining. Conservatives shouldn't be whiners.
"These unhappy Republicans are NOT going to vote in Pelosi and Reid to leadership of the House and Senate. Unhappy Republicans are signalling their Republican office holders to go on offence. We have six months for them to show that they get the message."
I tend to agree w you, maica, though I know that there appear to be some one-issue voters on FR (illegal immigration issue).
Many/most of you may already be aware of this, but, the first time I heard about it was last night (I've been working a lot this week, so haven't had much time for FReeping - - I hate when that happens ;-)
Anyway, I was listening to Jerry Doyle when driving home from dinner at he had the person on who started the "Send a Brick to Congress" effort. For $11.99 they will send a brick to your congress critter with whatever message you want. Or, you can do it yourself. She said some folks had have decorate a brick parties and send their own.
Apparently, they've sent 4,000 bricks, just through their web site. Dingy Harry even got one that said, "Secure Our Borders".
They thought that this would be more effective than email, letters, etc since they can't shred a brick, they'll be in the congresscritter's office to remind them how the public feels about illegal immigration and securing our borders, and, the bricks can be used to build the wall.
Here's a link to their web site,
http://www.send-a-brick.com/index.htm
For pictures of some of the bricks:
http://www.send-a-brick.com/pics.htm
"The Send-A-Brick Project was created by concerned citizens to send bricks to Washington encouraging our Congressmen to stand tough on border security.
Each brick sends a message to our Senators and Representatives that we want our borders secured before any other action is taken on illegal immigration."
I'm getting tired of the whinning also
ROFLLLLLLLLL!!!
ED for PREZ!
I see elections as a wave effect. Republicans had a virtual tsunami in 1994 because the momentum against the Clintons was so strong. Pioneer Republican congressmen were the spokesmen and guides for the party
Gingrich
Armey
Barr
Kasich
the fellow from NY married to another congresswoman
the fellow from NY who was persuaded to run for Senate against Hillary
etc
These were all forward scouts, but because they were willing to go so far in front of established paleo-conservatives, they did not stay on in those offices when the waters calmed and everyone cought up, more or less, in a Republican majority.
Now, twelve years later, we see a lot of 'brackish water' Republicans, fat and lazy, acting like what we hate about Dem politicians.
It is time for a new wave of Cleansing conservatives to get to power within the Republican caucus, WHILE maintaining our majority.
