What's up with WalMart?

What's up with Walmart. I just came back from getting groceries there and when I got to up to the checkout area there was a large rack of caps on display and each one had a symbol of Mexico...flag, insignia, emblems etc... I was also entertained by a blaring PA system playing Tejano too, just like every Saturday morning that I go there to get groceries.
I guess that Walmart wanted to sell out Americans to make money on Cinco De Mayo celebrations...the one that Mexicans celebrate here in America with more gusto than the 4th of July.
I have come to the conclusion that we are way past a tipping point and that the Mexican invasion has been successful. Now all that they have to do is complete the victory by breeding themselves into absolute majority by having free babies using our tax dollars.

It's called Cinco de Mayo. You see the same thing on St. Paddy's day, or any other holiday. They market to the demand. On Cinco de Mayo, there is a demand for that product, and thus they sell it. It isn't about 'invasions' or illegal immigration, it is about supplying a demand. You don't hear complaints about all the Irish stuff on St. Paddy's day.

I try tp shop at Wal-Mary as little as possible. They ones in our city are always dirty with stuff in the aisles - shelves are a mess. I'd rather pay a bit more and shop at Target.

That's a joke right? Have you ever been to Wal Mart on St Pat's day? It is packed with Irish flags and the ilk. (I know because we bought a lot of St. Paddy's stuff this year.)

Also, I learned something interesting last night. My wife grew up in Brasil and advised that they celebrate Cinco de Mayo all over South America. It isn't just a Mexican (or Beer company driven American) holiday.

You know Wal Mart would never put out an American Flag.. they only cater to illegals (if you read some of the posts on Freeper land..)

WEll, the Texas Rangers were Los Rangers last night.
I didn't mind it. I never thought anything about Cinco de Mayo celebrations untill all the demonstrations and border stuff.
But, there may have been some karma involved because they lost for the first time in six games.

Ditto, also the brand new Wal Mart close to me is one of the new ones that carry high end products.. lots of good organic food and their produce has such high turn-over, it's always fresh.

I have been boycotting Wal-Mart for years now. This will hopefully motivate more Americans to do the same and keep more of the 10 BILLION Dollars worth of Chinese imports on the shelves and warehouses. Grrrrrrr I hate that company!
To: mnehrling
Ours is new too. The only folks that boycott are the loony left and tree huggers.

Yes, it's a joke. I think this type of criticism of WalMart or frivolous types of ethnic pride is inane. And it makes conservatives look unsophisticated.

What a riot!!!!!!
I think your post says more about you being a racist mental midget than anything else.
Do you gripe about St. Patrick Day parades, merchandising, etc.
How about the the NBA, the NHL and Co's selling Canadian team merchandise.
What about capitalizing on the recent international baseball tournement.
How about selling merchandise with county logos related to World Cup events.
I guess you think everything with a British emblem or related to European heritages should be banned.
Yawn, I'm not impressed. In fact I'm amazed you don't realize how racist and pathetic your comment was.
Have a nice day

Or the isolationists who don't understand how trade helps keep our relationships stable. (When products cross borders, armies don't.)

When I was back in Memphis, before leaving for Slovakia (Jan 05). I went by a Walmart out in the suburbs late at night. Half of the customers were Mexican. Ten years ago, I never saw a Mexican in Memphis.
I am sure they make a good customer base for Walmart.
I am happy to no longer be there.
