I love it when Rush talks about moraltiy and the War on Drugs now. I guess those things are fine as long as media elitists are exempt.
There is a chasm of difference between someone who gets addicted to prescription medication and somene who gets addicted to cocaine at a party.
Who better to take advise from on the dangers of drugs and such than from someone who has had experience with it? I used to do drugs a long time ago, and I know from experience that they are bad news.
Here's the distinction I make with Rush. The root cause of his addiction was his attempt (with doctor's help) to alleviate severe back pain. He wasn't snorting cocaine at parties or shooting up. He wasn't dealing. If I cut him any slack, it's because of his back pain because I suffer from some amount of back pain, myself, and it's very debilitating. At this point, I am not taking any prescriptions for it, only over-the-counter pain relievers.
Rush has been on the radio 15 hours every week for the past decade and a half. Please post a couple of quotes from him, championing the 'War on Drugs.'

Rush was taking PRESCRIBED PAIN KILLERS - not buying ILLEGAL DRUGS OFF THE STREET - like several of the idiots who claim to be ACTORS.
