I bet Rush is glad the shoe has finally dropped, regardless who let loose of it. This was a winless situation and much better to have done with it. Those of us who love him still do and those who wish him ill won't be satisfied no matter the outcome. Have a great weekend Rush and we'll see you Monday. PS loved your mug shot. Keep smiling.

over at the DU, they are rejoicing. Their headline reads: "Rush Limbaugh Arrested."
priceless.

This scum-sucking DA has a great racket going here.. .
Essentially, he can walk up to any citizen, at any time, and say "For $30,000 I won't charge you with murder. You pay me the money. We won't actually charge you with the crime, you plead not guilty, and if you don't actually murder someone within 60 days we technically dismiss the charge we didn't file."
Anyone else try something similar and you'd be charged with blackmail.

How bizarre! Rush has entered a plea of not guilty but will be paying for the investigation that brought this charge which will be dismissed under the agreement?

IMHO, I am disappointed that Rush agreed to resolve the witch hunt this way. Since Rush claims that he is completely innocent, he should have let the law run its course and not copped a plea.......
To: kristinn
This is good, but it never should have happened in the first place.
To: kristinn
Rush had a good attorney. He sized up the outcomes and secured the best possible for his client. Rush is grown up and probably feels badly about "doctor shopping."
Surely, he was in some way selectively prosecuted. The IRS and other federal and state legal system also do this. Creating terror is a "preventative" for the government and what could be a better effort than a prominent conservative broadcaster.
Rush is grown up. He won't wallow in self pity. Life is sometimes unfair. Even if you run with the tigers sometimes you can be laid low by a snake.

And in DUmmieville, the compassionate souls are probably posting thousands of notes of support for a recovering addict, I'm sure. Amazing how many libs I know mock Rush's addiction, yet look at you like you're a Nazi if you suggest any addict (other than Rush) has to share some of the responsibility for his addiction and cleanup.

Mr. Limbaugh also has agreed to make a $30,000 payment to the State of Florida to defray the public cost of the investigation. He has to pay for the priviledge of being hounded by these jerks?

I am pleased to announce that the State Attorney's Office and Mr. Limbaugh have reached an agreement whereby a single count charge of doctor shopping filed today by the State Attorney will be dismissed in 18 months.Agreeing to dismiss a case in 18 months? This seems odd. Why not now?

Doctor shopping is illegal? Criminy, I can think of a few people that have done this; never really cared about it one way or the other.
