As many on here have pointed out, the Muhammad cartoons were basically factual. Muhammad WAS a murdering barbarian deviant; granted he never used a bomb, but that was because he lacked the technology, I'm sure he would have been more than happy to blow-up his enemies.

In contrast, our Lord is not now, nor has He ever been the man portrayed by these blasphemers.

Perhaps that is the problem for the Muslim heathens. Christians will be disgusted by these depictions of the Savior, but that is the end of it because we know that it is an utter falsehood. The Muslims can say whatever they want, but they can not escape the absolute fact that the Muhammad cartoons are consistent with the events of his life as he himself wrote in his "holy" book.

"So .. if somebody came up to your mother or father in a public restaurant and started calling them names .. would you react ..?? Or would you just sit there and take it - because after all .. they only did it for a reaction.

Nobody has to serve my God .. NOBODY .. but to say you're tolerant of all religions and then portray the God of the Universe (and the head of my religion) in such a perverse manner is rude and insulting. I do have a right to get mad."

Very well said! God bless you.

Actually both the anti-Christian cartoonists and the Catholic League are missing the point, which is that in this PC society, making fun of Christianity is acceptable, but not making fun of Islam.

No, the purpose, just like "Piss Christ", is to mainstream as "art" what is literally blasphemy and hate speech. Societal units other than the Federal Government have been emasculated- my own daughter says to me, "if it's legal, what's the problem? Who is hurt by it?" If western society loses its Christian ideals no real freedom can exist anywhere.

"I'm going to France to burn some little cars."

Are there any French cars closer to home? I don't like traveling. Especially to France.

You know what would really get this guys knickers in a twist would be to draw a picture of him kissing a girl with little love birds flying about their heads. That'd show him!

Mr. Correa we are praying for your soul.

Of course, these images are 1,000,000x more vulgar and disturbing than the images of Mohammad which were published. And yet, the low lives who drew and published them sleep easy at night, knowing that Christians will not burn their houses down and call for their beheading.

That's bravery for you.

I pray that they will repent of their extreme blasphemy before the End.

Whenever I come across walking freakshows like this, I do my darndest to contact them, usually by email, and tell them I am praying for them. They get hysterical, telling me they don't the prayers from "my God." I just keep writing back that, I understand, I understand...but I must keep praying for your soul--it's what the Lord would want."

More people need to adopt this strategy. Guys like this are mentally ill. Sometimes it takes a real act of God to break them out of it. It never hurts for them to know that people are praying for them--as long as you really are.

Ditto, should he ever see this thread. Considering the narcissistic personality component that often exists along side the same-sex attraction, I'm willing to bet he does vanity searches pretty often.

May Almighty God have mercy on your soul, Mr.Correa.

So .. if somebody came up to your mother or father in a public restaurant and started calling them names .. would you react ..?? Or would you just sit there and take it - because after all .. they only did it for a reaction.

With all due respect (and I mean that, I'm being sincere), I think there is a difference between your analogy and what this is really all about... I'll try to explain it as I see it.

If you were in a restaurant and somebody disrespected your parents to their faces, then that is a direct face-to-face attack on the actual person you are trying to offend.

Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father in Glory, and all authority on Heaven and Earth is His. He is not trapped in a piece of paper with a couple of dollars worth of water colors on it, or in a printed publication with a few cents worth of ink on it. Just because the "artist" says that his picture is depicting Jesus, doesn't make it so. It's having no effect on Jesus personally at all. His feelings aren't even hurt by it, except His feeling of love for the people doing this, who He longs to save and heal. By that, His heart is broken.

The biggest problem facing the misguided people doing this is not that they are trying to offend Christians -- it's that they need Jesus Christ to forgive their sins. They need to acknowledge Him as Lord. We should be praying for their souls, because ultimately no sin they are committing is as bad as the ultimate sin of not accepting Him as Lord and believing in the sacrifice He made on their behalf.

But again -- I hope you won't misunderstand my explanation. If you still feel angry with these people, so be it. You're still a believer and I'll still love you in the Lord.

The left hates anything Christian. The left loves anything Muslim. Are they afraid to lose their heads?

Just once I would love to hear Bush, Cheney or Rumsfeld use the term Crusade, that's what this is and the sooner we all accepted that the better.

And that makes him immune to criticism. He is a member of a protected class. This class is allowed to trash Christianity. Christians are not allowed to even THINK anything derogatory about this protected class. This is known as PC.

The Danish cartoons were based on reality: Mohammed was a warmonger.
No evidence exists that Jesus was a pervert.

These kids are dopes.

You are very perceptive!

I was trying to see the difference between the Mohammad drawings and the Jesus ones. Then it came to me and your response was the next one that I read.
Mohammad pictures are true. Jesus pictures are false! Let's see a true depiction of Jesus, just like the true depictions of Mohammad in the Danish papers!

What is the issue here ? I mean we all know that this is how most liberals feel anyway . Showing disgust just encourages these morons.

I am going to comment one, and only one time on this topic.....

My comment:

"Who cares.....attention is what they want. They will not get it from me. I have not visited the link and I won't..... "

The Insurgent claimed it published the drawings to "provoke dialog."

That's it? That's what the students involved in the newspaper are hanging their hat on in regards to illustrations of Christ?

ANYONE can do what they did. We could draw a steaming pile of dog feces on top of a rabbit's head, publish, and claim it was done to "provoke dialog" - it takes no particular skill, just the ability to be more bombastic than the next guy.

Whatever happened to journalistic and academic rigor? Apparently these students have not learned much about journalism. What a waste of an education.
