Interesting. This is what's up on Drudge at the moment:

Nagin, Landrieu in New Orleans Runoff... Very few residents of black neighborhoods showed up to vote.. Developing...

Any sympathy I had for New Orleans is completely gone now. If the people there can be so stupid as to vote for this guy after he has done nothing but display staggering incompetence then they deserve whatever it is they get.

"Nagin Scores Well With Blacks in Big Easy"

Gee, he's a mayor with his hand out, blaming the federal government for his problems - DUH!

Not the brightest voters in America.

I wonder how many thousands of dollars it cost to bus in those welfare voters from all over.

I'll bet their wasn't one Republican on any of those bus loads of preordained voters from the Democrat plantation.

I thought I saw a truck load of grave stones and markers pull up to one voting both.

We don't want to disenfranchise the dead now do we.

Shall we all feign surprise together?

Do these names indicate American professionalism, or instill confidence?

Alcee Hastings, Marion Barry, Cynthia McKinney, Sheila Jackson-Lee ... the list is exausting and so is the mental capacity of the electorate.

The people that believed that Ray Nagin was the best candidate for mayor probably also believed...

Bush was responsible for Katrina hitting New Orleans.

When the "white" areas of New Orleans were threatened, Bush blew up the levees.

There were hundreds of rapes and murders in the Superdome.

Sean Penn's boat didn't sink and he was able to save hundreds.

Scary.

"Before the storm, Nagin, who is black, had been largely expected to easily win a second term."

What journalism school (if any) did these people go to?

It's discouraging to see this kind of thing. But if the choice is between the scion of a corrupt mob family and a drugged-out incompetent, I'm not sure they aren't better off with the incompetent. At least he's amusing.

Is it any wonder NOTHING changes in Louisiana?

They revel in corruption - people and politicians.

It is astonishing to me that Nagin is still in the running. Should he be re-elected, it will be positive proof that NOLA is the center of stupity in the known universe.

Jackson said the election would be challenged in court regardless of the outcome because voting rights need to be protected.

In other words, Jesse's gonna troll for money.

If two blacks are running against each other , then black voters have a choice. When a black runs against a white the choice is made for them. They will vote black.
