The Bush administration is relying too heavily on other countries in the international effort to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons, according to Sen. Harry Reid.
Reid, D-Nev., said the administration should be taking the lead, but instead is relying on Germany, France and Great Britain to convince Iran to end its uranium enrichment program.
"It is hard to comprehend," Reid said. "We should be involved at trying to arrive at a diplomatic solution. ... Not just these three countries."
Reid said the Middle East is a "powder keg" because of U.S. failures in Iraq, the rise of fundamentalism and the recent election of Hamas in Palestine.
"Our not being involved diplomatically in trying to solve the situation in Iran shows the Bush failure in foreign policy there and elsewhere."
And he said the U.S. has no military option in Iran.
"We don't have the resources to do it" because of the ongoing war in Iraq," he said.

Bush continues to resist Reid's best option: pre-emptive surrender.

All Jimmy Carter's and the Dims fault for many years. Nevada, get rid of this goof!

"This type of "leadership" from the Dems is one reason I'm not worried about the November elections."
You are right on, assuming no absolutely idiotic ploy from our Senate leadership. We can mop the street with these guys on every issue if we just go after them. Imagine what we can do to them about gas prices; no drilling, no refineries, no nukes, no plan, no nothing, except misery, and they believe it is their right to hurt the American people in the name of lower gas consumption and they are loud, proud and arrogant about it. A child could knock these boobs off. If the child had some fight in him/her.

Reid said the Middle East is a "powder keg" because of U.S. failures in Iraq. Right. Until the 2003 invasion, the Middle East was such a quiet, calm vacation "mecca" for Westerners.

"This complete fool Sen. Reid is just another clear example of why the GOP base needs to come together for the elections this Nov."
Don't worry I think we will show up in November. We just had to calibrate some congress critters and get the Whitehouse in the game. Recent HLS events regarding illegal aliens shows promise. Hang tough;)

I agree with you. The fact that our politicians are so 'off the wall' is causing everyone else to act up too.
Would we be having protestors carrying Mexican flags in the USA if our politicians were stable law abiding people?
I try to post every goofy gif of them I see, lol.

No, I didn't make that one but I'm thinking of trying ones like it. Whoever did it didn't put a name on it, most don't.

Senator, if they wanna play with nukes, let em taste one of ours. Served nice hot n' fresh.

With Iraq Bush was criticized for unilateralism despite Clinton's unilateralism in Kosovo. Now Reid is criticizing Bush for working with France, Germany, Russia, etc. Rice has been hammering away regarding what Iran has to do, I guess that is not "out in front." HE LIES, HE STABS BUSH in the back like his lying deceiving RAT comrades.

I think I got a vacation brochure from the ISLAMO Jihadists Theme Park once. I declined to respond. Too many sand fleas. ;>)

That's a good toon Potlatch...
Makes one wonder about Harry Reid's mentality.
He's been catching heat from Nevadians that can't
understand his sand box antics.

Shut up Harry, no one listens to you anyway. Maybe it's time for you to retire and quit embarrassing your constituents.

You better or you go right on my list.
