Just breaking on Fox...

No details, but the agent was caught dead to rights leaking....

Update: CIA Officer Fired for Leaking Classified Info to Media

WASHINGTON — A CIA officer has been relieved of his duty after being caught leaking classified information to the media.

CIA officials will not reveal the officer's name, assignment, or the information that was leaked. The firing is a highly unusual move, although there has been an ongoing investigation into leaks in the CIA.

One official called this a "damaging leak" that deals with operational information and said the fired officer "knowingly and willfully" leaked the information to the media and "was caught."

btw, Clarke, Beers, and Mary McCarthy were three of the top counter-terrorism officials in the country, all in the NSC, in the period 1999-2001. It can truly and fairly be said that the 9/11 plots developed on THEIR watch and that THEIR failings had more to do with it than anyone in the Bush team who'd only had a few months in office and had to deal with the (then) Democratic Senate not confirming important national security appointees, etc.

That needs to be repeated many, many times!

Good find! It could be valuable to find any transcripts of panel discussions, etc. that involved her. So far I've only found this summary of one with Dana Priest + Anthony Lewis and some other dubious characters:

http://www.law.nyu.edu/newscalendars/2004_2005/torture/tortureforum.html

Interesting that will a large number of panel members they weren't able to invite even ONE who had anything good to say about the Bush administration fighting the war on terror. Granted, they biased the discussion from the start by making Abu Ghraib the center of focus even though the topic was supposedly much broader legal issues in the war on terror. I'd not be surprised if Mary McCarthy turns out to be a source not only for Dana Priest but also for Hersch - those two have been making waves for a long time with 'scandalous' revelations of CIA and Pentagon secrets.

It is indeed wheels inside of wheels. I used to view the idea that there was some sort of conspiracy in the CIA to undermine the President as nonsense. Now I am not so sure.

The Washington Post was late to the Story, and The Washington times is the only Paper I know that you can guarantee they will print the story even if it is bad news for Republicans. Where were they other Newspapers and MSM on this. FGS the guy was laughing in everyone's face at this because it was a conservative Outfit that outed him and hardly anyone picked up on the story until the New Media and then the NY Times and the Wallstreet Journal. He would still be the minority Head of the Ethics Committee if Nancy Pelosi had not kicked him downstairs. Look at that idiot Murtha, was he being protected by Mollohan, he certainly has questions to answer about his financial supporters and the potential for illegal kickbacks that the old fool was probably getting.

$5000.00 is a TON of money for someone who's been a Servant of the People (sarcasm) but I wondered also if someone GAVE her the money to donate to Ohio Dem Party!!

"Gave" is a pretty flexible term. Would putting the consulting firm of a donor's husband on retainer (or paying for ambiguously-defined "consulting services), with the fee(s) then being channeled into a campaign organization qualify as such?

All speculation, of course ... unless the client list/financials of her husband's company come to light.

There are a number of Congressmen under the gun of the moribund House Ethics committee, including Murtha and Weldon.

Exactly, she is a traitor to her Country but bleeds Leftist Democrat Blood. If we ever had a question about if we thought they would go so far to get their power back that they would turn their backs on their Country we no longer are in doubt. It is more and more obvious everyday that the enemy is within, and they certainly do not look like AL qaeda. I guess we could refer to them as the American Al qaeda.
