Also I have a statement from Secretary Rice. This is concerning Palestinian assistance:

"The United States remains committed to President Bush's vision of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It is our desire to help provide for the basic humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people.

Consistent with these principles the United States will increase its humanitarian aid to help Palestinians in need. Basic humanitarian assistance -- including health, food and education -- will increase by 57 percent for a total of $245 million. The United States will also provide $42 million to strengthen civil society and independent institutions. Assistance will be administered through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency and non-Palestinian Authority actors, including local and international nongovernmental organizations.

"Because the new Hamas-led Palestinian government has failed to accept the Quartet principles of nonviolence, recognition of Israel and respect for previous agreements between the parties, the United States is suspending assistance to the Palestinian government's cabinet and ministries. The new Palestinian government must make -- must take responsibility for the consequences of its policies. The path back to the roadmap is clear -- acceptance of the three principles. If it accepts the Quartet principles, or a new government comes to power that accepts them, funding can be restored."

I wouldn't mind giving the money if we would get credit for it in the minds of the average Joe_Palestinian. But I will never forget the images of Palestinians literally dancing in the streets as 3000 people were murdered on television in New York, PA and DC.

In short, f*ck them.

I don't want the children over there to starve - no decent person would but if we suddenly increase the aid by $100 million you know some or most that will get siphoned off and support terrorism.

Not to mention - how the hell are we gonna put pressure on other countries not to help Hamas when we are doing it ourselves?

Sadley, the administration forgot that the Pali's elected terrorists as their representative government.

Why am I and every other American supporting the people that elected HAMAS? This pisses me off to no end.

The U.S. says it has authorized of $245 million for “Basic humanitarian assistance -- including health, food and education.”

This government has totally lost its freaking mind. Why should my taxes go to a bunch of 7th century savages that have had almost as long as the Israelis to build a small nation?

If a US citizen would send money to a so called "Hamas charity", wouldn't that citizen go to jail?

Why is the US the food stamp org of the world? Why isn't starving to death a future terrorist considered the humanitarian thing to do? By preventing their starvation, is not the US and other nations aiding and abetting terrorism? Are not the humanitarian needs of the victims of palestinian terror more worthy? Do not the victims of palestinian terror suffer more pain?

It occurs to me that starving future generations of terror is the humanitarian and the right thing to do...and could eventually lead to world peace...

Is it any wonder that Muslims see terrorism as an effective tool in the war against western culture? We and other non Muslim nations pay them to do it. Who would have guessed that our own politicians would be our worst enemies? The world is indeed a strange place.

Another lame brain idea of our big spending, liberal President. So, at what point can we consider this "taxation without representation?" Bush does NOT represent me when he gives money to terrorists who aim to destroy Israel and the US! These worthless politicians think "OUR" money is THEIR personal treasure chest, to freely give to the world as they see fit, and I for one, am sick to death of it!!!
