Why Immigration Matters [Bear Stearns Estimates 18 To 20 Million ILLEGALS]

In his post below, DJ lists a number of issues where the country would be hurt if Democrats were to take Congress. He uses this as an argument for conservatives to vote for even those Republicans who favor the illegal invasion of America.

But, to me, immigration trumps them all, and here’s why. The McKennedy amnesty, and other “guest” worker plans would do the following:

1. Add at least 12 million low-skilled, under-educated, poor menial laborers from Socialist countries to the voter pool. (Bear Stearns estimates this number to be 18-20 million.)

2. Admit another 400,000 low-skilled, under-educated, poor menial laborers from Socialist countries every year, and allow them to vote.

From a purely political perspective, mass immigration, like the GOP honchos are proposing, would doom the Republican party to permanent minority status, just like the Tories in Canada.

By 2050, we would be guaranteed to add at least 32 million new Democrat voters to the voting pool. Add their spouses, their children who will be born here, and others who will jump our borders to take advantage of future amnesties, and that number will balloon to 60-80 million.

George W. Bush won a total of 62 million votes in 2004. His margin of victory was 3 million votes.

From a purely social perspective, such immigration would also be a disaster, creating a resentful underclass of non-English-speaking menial laborers who would never believe in the American dream. Do we want France’s problems, multiplied by a factor of three?

The McKennedy amnesty would be the end of the Republic as we know it. Nothing - not lower taxes, not conservative judges - is worth that.

We conservatives are expected to go along with the destruction of the Republic, and vote Republican so that we can get lower taxes in the short term. Might I humbly suggest that President Bush and the GOP leaders in Congress instead protect the Republic by doing what their supporters want, by enforcing America’s laws?

Exactly. Is unrestricted immigration worth the short-term political gain. What should it profit a party that it gains Hispanic voters but lose America?

FLOOD D.C. WITH U.S. FLAGS THIS WEEK

This week, let's FLOOD Washington with U.S. Flags through the mail showing our strong support of enforcing our current immigration laws.

Send to Congress Critters and Senators with notes attached like: "OUR ECONOMY NEEDS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS" --- That argument didn't work for slavery and it won't work now!

Other notes attached could be:

1- Enforce our borders.

2- Remember which country's citizens voted you into office.

3- Teddy says the President isn't above the law, I say, the lettuce and tomato picker isn't beneath the law !!

AND, don't forget to send one to el Presidente !

When our representatives return from vacation, let them SEE our outrage... from the SILENT MAJORITY !

I have been covering, psuedo-blogging, for years, a couple of the elements in WWIV ( III being the Cold War ), in which we find ourselves engaged.

The first element?

Islam, a Religion of Peace®? ( links, blogs, quips, quotes, aggravating pictures ) is located here- click the Pic, and scroll backwards:

The other, somewhat interlocking element is this one:

"Thunder on the Border," click the picture:

What is happening under the radar is that the alien lobby, certain elements of radical Islam, and some on the Left share common goals, tactics, and exploitations of our system and society.

Not a conspiracy, but rather a "coming together on common points." A confluence- becoming a tsumani...

My thoughts on relieving the problem: Besides a wall on the boarder, an incentive needs to be created for business owners to change their hiring policies or lose out to those who do.

What the American consumer needs is an easy way to tell which businesses are following the law, so the choice to patronize those who do will create the economic incentive for the competition to comply. We need to use our economic strength to reward the law abiding while stigmatizing the illegal.

1. Create a non-profit to certify businesses and the products/services they produce as legal. Businesses would have to pay a nominal fee for certification (relative to the immediate financial gain they should reap from concerned consumers eager to patronize the law-abiding businesses).

2. Label them as such with an easily recognizable logo displayed on their doors/windows, produce and products. Create a national data bank of members easily accessible online. "Certified Legal" could be the new catch phrase for consumers to easily identify a business complying with the law.

3. Let the people decide with their pocketbooks. I and everyone I've spoken to about this idea would pay more for produce until it stabilizes, patronize only those businesses displaying the logo, use only the products of legally certified companies. The immediate increase they would receive in revenue from new patrons will create an incentive for other businesses to comply.

"If I robbed a bank..."

...we could always try to excuse it as "exercising heretofore unrecognized eminent domain," to point out another outrage.

you have no idea... I emailed this to our elected officials, with one spelling or another. I don't think they will care about the misspelling or the message....

But I knew someone would catch misspelling...

I'll copy yours...

No, your spelling was fine. In an earlier thread, I had misspelled it and thought you were referring to that.

Anyway, in that thread I vowed to spell it (sovereignty) 100 times...

Sorry, thought you were kidding with me...

Sovereignty, 100 times... it should be "infinity"

I think it characterizes our borders, our rights, immigration, culture, the right to self-determination and much more.

We are under attack. Our President should see the immigration issue as one of an invasion of our country and its sovereignty and act accordingly. Put national guard on our borders, immediately until we are ready and able to protect our borders. Isn't it the job of the National Guard to step in during local and national emergencies?

This is definitely a national emergency. I rant...!!
