I know someone that did that, too.

But even on Abrams right, they are discussing the boy friend being with her AFTER the Kroger call.

Dan Abrams said that the picture show what the defense has said -- and he cannot believe the DA is going for an indictment of at least two of them.

Abrams was adament that LE didn't take the accuser to DMC. He said she arrived there sometime between 3-6:00 a.m. possibly having changed clothes from what she wore on leaving party house.

Dear lord.

And Yale brought up the boy friend!

This is a travesty.

Interestinly, someone on Abrams panel suggested that Nifong may take the evidence to the grand jury in order to get a no-bill, and get rid of the case.

No, Diamond Girls is a lapdancing pole dancing place where she worked for a long time.

The escort service was Allure.

12:00:12 to 12:02:16 - the girls were partially naked, dancing in the livingroom surrounded on the 3 sides by dozens of men sitting on couches and chairs. the accuser was missing a shoe already (hahaha). one guy in the last picture of this 2 minute set was giving the thumbs down

12:03ish - the women stop dancing possibly because of the alleged broomstick comment

12:03:57 - women leaving, and going towards the back of the house. the guys say that's when the girls locked themselves in the bathroom. the accuser was supposedly in there fixing her nails, and the other dancer was getting dressed preparing to leave. the guys were on the outside the door telling them to leave

27 minutes go by while both girls are in the bathroom

12:30:12 to 12:30:47 - accuser is standing on the steps wearing a red and black lace top bodysuit and one white high heel shoe (hahaha). she's smiling and holding a cell phone

12:37:58 - 12:38:18 - accuser lying on stairs, cuts, and abraisions visible.. happened when she fell. fresh nail polish was on the handrail. it wasn't on the other handrail pick before she went out there. all of her clothing is intact

12:41:32 - leg of accuser hanging out of door. this man carried her out to Kims car

It may be my anti-Duke bias, but when a bunch of players from a college team orders up 2 strippers (prostitutes?) and is involved in underage drinking, followed by one of them sending an absolutlely sick and tasteless email about killing and skinning woman, the resignation of the coach and suspension of the season is not out of order, in my opinion. Whether a rape or assault occurred or not doesn't change my view in that regard.

I am certain that this is not the first time this sort of thing has occurred (not just at Duke, of course), but that doesn't excuse it. This may be a real world lesson not to put yourself in a position of risk as they did. They re lucky the woman was drunk as she was. If she had provided any of them any service beyond "dancing" her case would have been much stronger and lucrative.

Did Dan Abrams say that one of the ones she identified wasn't even at the party?

Get rid of the case?

Right.

There would be riots in the street.

Probably -- or not. She might have seen this as a golden opportunity. Anyway, I think we agree that the DA appears to be railroading these guys.

Neighbor Bissey said he saw the women together in the car, and one said she was going back to get her shoe/s. Perhaps in the car the accuser realized she was wearing only one shoe, decided to go back to look for it, fell in that trip back, and was photographed by someone inside the house passed out on the porch at almost 12:38 with new scrapes.

I'm beginning to envision something along the lines of "you white boys better pay up or we'll say you're racists and that you raped us." The chink in the armor of the "racist" angle is that this bunch of white boys hired them in the first place ... not very indicative of racism to me.

Hiring a non-white "entertainer" is not indicative of a lack of racism.  In fact it could be argued (and probably will be) that this is yet another form of racist exploitation (they wouldn't hire a WHITE GIRL to do this!).

What may be more contradication (contradictive?) of racism is that the team has a black player who was at the party.  It's not proportional representation, but really, how many black kids play lacrosse in the first place?

Abrams quoted a defense attorney saying she had ID'd a player who wasn't at the party.

i'm beginning to wonder about her college career.
have you heard if she is really taking any classes, or is this just a fake story that she has told?

that's an interesting point.

i have a pro-duke bias (my daughter went there, and i visited a few times), and i think the woman should go to jail for her false accusation, but i also agree with you about this team: they appear to have been somewhat out of control, and they didn't help duke's public image.

Even though my wife and I are Carolina grads, I take no joy in what has happened. I am frankly relieved that my alma mater wasn't the site of this. There are surely a lot of wake up calls that have been received by college athletes after this event. If you just HAVE to see naked breasts, go to a strip club. Don't invite them over.

The defense attorneys said they went to the dorms with no warrant looking for those players and were asking them things like "Don't you think you ought to talk to us in private."

The defense is going to court Monday morning to get an order to keep them away from their clients.

Nifong and the police are out of control and they are most definitely harassing those players.

I didn't know there were laws against hiring strippers in North Carolina.

I didn't say there was. There may or may not be, for all I know. I'm saying it wasn't a good idea. It was asking for trouble.
