"We have to change the way the American people think about us," Ortega said. "We are here to work and to make our lives better."

Then why are you out in the streets demanding exemption from our laws and special privileges instead of working?

Then run BACK across the border and come back into the country LEGALLY and I'm sure that opinion will change.

There is really a simple answer to that one. The US House of Representatives has recently pased a law that would make it a felony simply to be here if you crossed illegally. It just makes sense to say "this is what your country would look like if, in fact, we were all gone. Are you sure you want to do this? Might it not be better to acknowledge who we are and what we do for you when you draft laws to secure your borders?" That question is reasonable, calm, undemanding, and worthy of consideration, it seems to me.

Well, they're certainly not here to pay income taxes.
Last I heard, tax evasion was a felony.

Ther is article in our local paper about two workers getting fired from an Applebee's for leaving during the lunch rush to go to a march. Now they're screaming discrimination, suing for their jobs, etc... They even have a fund set up at a bank for fired employees that went to the march for food, rent assistance, etc... They are asking landlords to defer rent for those that went and lost their jobs! This is insane even for insanity.
