I really believe that this liberal man did all he could to banish Christianity from the earth, but he ultimately went the way of all flesh, as it warns us in Scripture.

This is one of the enemy leftover from the Viet Nam War.
His death is at least 40 years too late to do any good.

Mr. Coffin is in his coffin....
There is some sort of limerick floating around in there, I am sure.

I can't wait for this resurrection.

I didn't know he was still alive.

How does the old joke go? If you cannot say something good about the dead, then don't say anything ..... good he's dead.

I wonder if his possible successor will be the Reverend James Wallis of Sojourners?
There will always be theological liberals. I was once myself. But there is also "seeing the light" like I did. I just wish more conservative clergy would be out in the forefront of the vast array of issues out there today to counter the "Drive by Media" as Rush has dubbed them.

William Sloane Coffin Dead
Who is William Sloane, and what does "coffin dead" mean?
Does it mean he's dead in the coffin? As opposed to cremated dead? Or cold stone dead?

Evidently he had no concern for what happened to the citizens of Viet Nam after we cut and ran.

The first step on the slippery slope to Vicky Gene Robinson. A "theologioan whose theology was left wing politics. He won't be missed. And as my Pop used to say, "If you can't think of something nice to say about somebody, think of something else". Coffin was a sc*mbag.

"To be a Pacifist, I must part company with Homer and Virgil, with Plato and Aristotle, with Zarathustra and the Bhagavad-Gita, with Cicero and Montaigne, with Iceland and with Egypt. From this point of view, I am almost tempted to reply to the Pacifist as Johnson replied to Goldsmith, 'Nay Sir, if you will not take the universal opinion of mankind, I have no more to say."

This worthless sack of s*** was invited to Iran to visit the hostages back in the Carter horrors. He went.
Back in the 1980's when an American soldier of WWII died the soldier wished to be buried with the Red Army communists. Sloan C. went and preached(?) the service.
W. Sloan C. will not be missed.
