Conflicting reports coming in. I'm going to make a phone call to the flag burner from yesterday (I know him) and get better info.

Thanks for the info.. and good work. I'm thinking this type of thing will become more widespread as the illegals begin to become more impatient..sensing they might not get their way. ..it could explode.

Stop the invaders, close the border. One illegal alien protesting for their 'rights' in the streets of America is annoying, Millions of illegals protesting is an Foreign Invasion.

I just got off the phone with one of the guys there to burn the Mexican flag.

He said that his group was repeatedly threatened with violence and death by the "peaceful, American-flag waving migrants' rights supporters". Several water bottles were hurled at them with great force. He, somehow, avoided getting hit but others with him were hit HARD. It took 2 rings of police to protect them from the violent thugs who wanted to kill them.

They had 15-20 people in their group. They tread upon and tore a Mexican flag on the ground. They successfully burned that flag as well as a new one brought to the event to be burned.

They recognized several of the thugs as the same ones who disrupted a pro-border security rally in 2004 in downtown Tucson. These guys, with shaved heads and wearing bandannas as masks, came into the rally in 2004 and started pushing people around and intimidating them. They threatened senior citizens and children at the rally. They were recognized by other features such as tatoos. The group got several photos of the thugs who were making threats to kill them.

Police had to escort the flag burners, using a motorcycle escort, to the parking lot and guard them until they left the area.

One of the organizers of this protest had this to say, "They can try to hide behind their newly purchased American flags, but these are the same marchers that were there 2 weeks with the same message and the same hate for America and Americans."

Jacob Ruiz, 32, A U.S.-born Hispanic who carried a Mexican and American flag sewn together back-to-back so both were displayed, said he was marching to show his support for immigrant rights. “They build America one house at a time, one wall at a time,” said the draftsman. “Their work is permanent and so should their residency."

Only doing the jobs Americans don't want?
Last time I checked, Americans working in the construction industry were desperate for jobs.

Perhaps these wetbacks and their $5 wages have undercut the indigenous job market?

His boss gave him the day off to march, he said, and he hopes that the marches "some way or another pressure the legislators."

Who's your boss again?....

The march began at the corner of South 12th Avenue and Ajo Way, at St. John’s Catholic Church.

The Dallas march started at the catholic church as well. The catholic church is heavily involved in this matter.

How insane. People break into your house, and demand to live there. What would Liberals do if you broke into their house and demanded to live there? Would they welcome you, call the cops, or use force to get you out?

I saw this coming weeks ago and made a comment on when will these invaders start being shot when they cross the border. I was pounced on by a bunch of do gooders accusing me of inciting violence and giving the other side ammunition to use against us. Well, to hell with that. Wake up people. Guess what? We've already lost. Nobody wants to do anything but complain. I for one have started reporting landscapers and contractors in my area when I see them with a truck load of Mexicans. It may not make any difference but it makes me feel better.

The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers
inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists'
abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees.
Here's an interesting new thread on new legal reform progress that finally
emerged in Mexico I think as a result of immigration reform's failure:

We can make a difference for our sake, and their's as well. Isn't it the
neighborly thing to do?

Now John McLame , Teddy the Swimmer et al keep telling us that we can't "deport 11 million people". Wouldn't it be great if say 22 million people (all native born citizens) stopped paying income taxes for a year, since we can't enforce immigration laws why would tax laws be any different? < /rhetorical? >

Of course we all know the answer. It comes down to which laws our congress really wants to enforce and which laws are on the books and given lip service to placate the majority.

Even though I am of Mexican decent, I cannot stand when people from other countries come to America and wave their flags, to me it's a slap in the face to America. I love this country. I was born and raised in Iowa, my family has been here legally for many generations. But I understand why Hispanics specially Mexicans are being alienated from this country. Many times when I have worked at places where there are mexicans who can't speak the language. I refuse to talk to them in spanish, because I tell them that in this country we speak English. I also tell them that they need to be more loyal to this country that has fed them and house them. I have been told to my own people that I betrayed my race. But I get tired of seeing Mexican gangs in California, and such a high percentage of Mexicans in prison in the southern states. But at the same time I know that there are people in this country from Mexico that work very hard and do jobs that you could not pay me any amount of money to do. There is no way I would pick oranges or grapes or work in the farm, that's why I have a degree so I don't have to do labor job. And honestly I don't know any of my friends or relatives that would do that job, most of them won't even work at McDonalds let alone work the farms. My concern is that yes, there is a lot of immigrants in this country, and this country is only so big, we are already over populated in many cities. But how would economy be effected by getting rid of all the workers that work for so little in the farms. Would the farmers have to hire regular people and pay them at least minimum wage, how would that effect their profit, would that mean that the price of produce would go higher.
I think if immigrants want to come in and work and stay and this country, they need to learn the language, learn the American culture, respect our laws, and quit waving the Mexican flag or displaying it in their cars. Because that flag represents Mexico, a country that they left because it didn't offer jobs or a better way of life.
We also need to put pressure on the Mexican government to somehow get them to offer better paying jobs and better way of living. The Mexican government should be ashamed that his people don't want to be in their own country. You don't see many American leaving United States because how horrible life is here.
We're just across the border why can't he see how United States work.

Her son said he felt missing a day of school was worthwhile because “what I learned today is that it’s right to fight for your rights — and what you can do about it and how.”

Apparently you didn't learn anything, you dumb little shit.

Debbie McQueen stood across the street from Armory Park holding a sign that said “No to Amnesty.” Someone tossed a couple of water bottles at her and a companion, but neither was hit.

McQueen said, “I’m here as an American citizen, not to protest, but to have my opinion heard as well.”
-----

Good for her.

Among the marchers was Miguel Santos Nunez, 39, from Mexico, who has lived in Tucson five years, working in construction carpentry, while his wife and three children still live in Mexico. His boss gave him the day off to march, he said, and he hopes that the marches "some way or another pressure the legislators."

Immigration status not stated - WHY? ... what are the odds he's illegal?
It's so wonderful that the cheap labor lobby cares for their workers! (sarcasm)

SCHOOLS ARE NOW THE BREEDING GROUNDS FOR ANTI-AMERICAN PROPAGANDA ...

Carolina and Daniel Villascuesa accompanied their children, Joe and Antoinette Tafoya, both Tucson High students, to the federal courthouse. “I’ve always been a silent advocate,” said Carolina, but after talking to her children about immigration issues, she and her husband decided that they had to join them in the march. Roughly 1,500 of Tucson High Magnet School’s 2,600 students were absent this morning and 200 more walked off campus. At Davis Bilingual Elementary Magnet School, 500 W. St. Mary's Road, the entire faculty of 16 was absent. But with only 30 students at the school, substitutes were able to cover.

I am disgusted by the schools' complicity in these offensive protests, wasting taxpayer money to advocate for a huge further burden on taxpayers. It's sad to think how many children will be ruined by the farce of bilingual education, and the ills of liberal indoctrination at the hands of these PS educator clowns.
