Jacob Ruiz, 32, A U.S.-born Hispanic who carried a Mexican and American flag sewn together back-to-back so both were displayed, said he was marching to show his support for immigrant rights. “They build America one house at a time, one wall at a time,” said the draftsman. “Their work is permanent and so should their residency."

Only doing the jobs Americans don't want?
Last time I checked, Americans working in the construction industry were desperate for jobs.

Perhaps these wetbacks and their $5 wages have undercut the indigenous job market?

And before anyone beats you up for employing the pejorative term "wetback", I wish to remind them that the term "wetback" refers specifically to ILLEGAL ALIENS. Its origins lie in the many aliens who crossed the Rio Grande when breaking and entering the United States and would literally come out of the river dripping wet. The most successful Border Patrol operation in the history of the United States occurred in 1954 and it was called "Operation Wetback". That operation, by the way, deported or scared away over 1 million illegal aliens - a HUGE number for the few that were in the country back then. The term does not apply to hispanics/latinos/chicanos in general, as some would pretend, unless they are here illegally. It is not a racist term. Neither hispanic, latino, nor chicano are races anyway. So, you're going to get slammed, or your post may get pulled, but that's the fact of the matter about the term "wetback".

They are getting $20+/hr but are being paid in cash/no deductions.

The low lifes that stand on the corner looking for work won't work for less than $10/hr plus transportation and lunch.
