The Dangers Of Mixing News And Opinion À La Lou Dobbs

The mixture of news and spin against illegal immigration served up by Lou Dobbs and others like him is a poisonous witch's brew.
With the slogan "Broken Borders" on the screen, Lou Dobbs demands tighter security at our borders and rails against a Senate bill that contains a guest-worker plan for illegal aliens.
In a piece for the Arizona Republic in Phoenix, Dobbs wrote that illegal aliens impose a "crushing financial and economic burden" on American workers.
Dobbs has added little but anger to the debate. He insists he speaks "the truth" and said that those who disagree with him are "unconcerned about the 280 million American citizens, the men and women of this country who work for a living and their families."
Those who cheer Dobbs on should listen carefully to what he is saying. He not only pummels liberals, Democrats, unions and Hispanic groups, he denounces President Bush, congressional Republicans who toe the administration's line on immigration, "corporate supremacists" and the Roman Catholic Church for advocating "amnesty, guest-worker programs and open borders."

Lou Dobbs at the border with the Minute Men...
To: Dr. Scarpetta
And?
All those groups are failing to secure our borders. If Mr. Dobbs is bashing them, and calling attention to this failure, all i have to say is:
Good for you, Mr. Dobbs!

Lou Dobbs is one of the few telling it like it is. Shame on our gutless Congress for not dealing with this problem.

No only are we listening, we're glad to hear that someone is acutally willing to stand up for the truth and call the illegal lovers out for their roles in trying to surrender our sovereignty to a mob of invaders who are primarily from third world crap holes.

Journalists like Janensch need to be robbed a few times by some of the poor misunderstood illegal aliens that the rest of us in flyover country are enjoying. Notice that the majority of the furor is coming from the areas that are being significantly impacted by the tide of illegal immigration and not those that sit in their ivory towers.
To: Dr. Scarpetta
I agree with Dobbs on the border issue and national security. However the rest of his program has become nothing but a propaganda hour for the unions and other causes that are Democrat. He used to have one of the best business shows on TV.

Well, yeah, he is calling out people with whom I agree on many other issues but who are dead wrong on illegal aliens. When someone speaks the truth I acknowledge it no matter who the speaker is.

Paul Janensch...another moron who ignores the facts and has an open border agenda.
This idiot does not state one single fact in his article to contest Dobbs point of view. It's a hit piece...and nothing more. One reason why I use my neighbors Fartford undercurrent to line my 2 bird cages.
