Immigration Rally’s Live Thread
Apr. 9th, 2006 | Danae

Ok, here on FoxNews we have, oh abut 1000K people gathering in white t-shirts in Dallas. If you aren’t paying attention to this, you should be.

I am going to propose a heretical idea. We have 11 MILLION or so of these people who are HERE, and they are NOT going to be leaving soon. If even a third of those 11 million get even slightly militant, we have one VERY serious problem. VERY, VERY serious. Here is the idea: Against the strident advise of the all the lawmakers in Washington, we just give them all amnesty. Then the GOP leads the drive to register and assimilate these under grounders, get them English language, insurance, paying taxes, and all the legitimate trappings of being a US citizen. Why? Because then they will be LOYAL to us and the United States. Otherwise we have an occupying force on our shores, one that if it turned violent, oh man… I don’t even want to think about it.

The Rally is so far peaceful. And I hope it stays that way, but we have to address the problem, and fast. We all need to get on board with this simple fact, no matter what is done, there is NOT going to be a solution that makes anyone overly happy. Let’s just buckle down and do what NEEDS to be done rather than what we WANT done. If we don’t lead the way, then the Illegals WILL. That is NOT a pretty thought!

Ok Flame away, we all know that those in power look at this site, let's start giving them some ideas.

We need to start finding out who organized and paid for these rallies.

I am going to find out in San Diego. At these rallies you need to bring cameras and you need to take pictures of the buses and the vendors. Pictures of anyone giving orders.

In your city you can ask to copies of the permits. I will start a thread that will put all the data together. This could turn this story of illegal immigrants rallies into one of mass media manipulation.

Who is paying for these rallies?

Who is organizing these rallies?

We need answers to these questions NOW.

Freepmail me if you live in another city and want to help.

Take a look at the nice pictures of San Diego Unified School District Buses used at this rally. (Click Here)

What time is the Philly one over?

I'm wondering...If they wrap up by 2ish, they can very easily be bused down to DC for the evening commute take over.

This is a big win for the Republicans come November--the Silent Majority which will never, ever say their true feelings at social engagements will just vote R because they think Republicans will be tougher on illegals than will Democrats.

How so? The leader of the republican party, George Bush, is the biggest backer of illegal immigration of them all.

Even the republicans in the senate are very luke warm about illegal immigrants. If anything, this will cost the republican senators in red states their job in novemeber.

Never before have I been so angry at a Republican president over anything. I regret the time I spent campaigning door to door for him in 2000 and my votes in 2000 and 2004. His immigration "policy" will be a disaster for our country.

Agreed. I'm counting down the time left in his presidency.

The one hope I have is that maybe the 2006 midterm elections will be a wakeup call.

Given Iraq or Mexico, I would have much rather he be strong on an actual invasion. Of course, a good president could have handled both.

Ok, here's an idea. Every Man in this Country who loves the rule of law, who loves Liberty, who loves what that flag USED to stand for, take to the streets by whatever means necessary and CLEAN THE HOUSE OUT!

"Giving these people a good place live is not that great of a price to pay compared to what this could turn into if we choose to round them all up and transport them all back accross the border. They are not sheep or cattle."

True, they are not sheep or cattle, but they are here illegally in spite of their intentions. It is doubtful that deporting them is feasable although I would have no problem in doing so. I have no problem with legal immigration. I have a serious problem with the colonization of our country. It is painfully obvious our government will do nothing here. My suggestion is to make them leave on their own by reeling in the welcome mat.

I think there will be a backlash for the rallies. Aside from seeing a sea of Mexican flags, most folks will be amazed at the size of the crowds of illegals.

I was talking to my apolitical neighbor a while ago and she couldn't believe the numbers. I pointed out to her that it was only a small number of illegals that were on the streets. She shuddered.

Apparently, the commie organizers of these protests have decreed that American flags be waved this time. Don't want the "racist" citizens to get the right idea, dontcha know.

What are you, drunk!!? We already HAVE an occupying force within our borders and we need to act like it. Your idea is to give the keys to the kingdom to the invaders. Insanity!

Yes, I heard that all the Hispanic radio stations around the country were calling for protesters to not carry Mexican flags.

I've been watching the spots on the cities and it seems that only Atlanta took heed of the advice.

That would take most of the ENTIRE National guard. I am not opposed to the idea, it just isn't even slightly practical.

The War for Independence was not even remotely practical. And, yes, it even turned violent. Hundreds of thousands of America's sons, fathers, brothers, and husbands fought, bled, and died over the years to keep this nation free and secure. And you're ready to turn it over to an invading horde because resistance would be "impractical" and you're too squeamish to actually stand up and fight or to even let others stand up and fight. You want to surrender. I say NEVER!

I agree with your list. Seeing all the people protesting really gets me boiling. Why don't they all go back to their own countries & protest for better working conditions, jobs & higher wages instead of invading our country for free handouts. They are sending money back to their own country & its not helping our economy here. They are using our schools, health services & not paying the taxes to support them. With thousands of people who have been waiting in line to come to the United States legally its not fair. In the end it will appear that a war against the illegals will be happening in the near future.

Because their countries would shoot, arrest, and disappear such protesters. (...and that's what they do to their own citizens, I dare one of us to go to Mexico and protest ;-))

Until a few days ago, I was outraged by the protests across the nation by these people. I was never in favor of any thing to do with illegal immigrants or allowing them to stay here under any circumstance. For some reason I started thinking of what an exodus of 12 million angry people could turn into. I am convinced that unless we force them out at gun point, they will stay regardless of whether or not they can find work, receive medical treatment or get any aid. If you take a minute to think of what good could come of letting them stay with a chance of becoming citizens, you might see a new workforce of first generation Americans that will work harder and produce more than our overseas competition that have been letting thier products invade our country for more years than I can remember. It would be worth it just to see the trade deficit go the other way for once. It would also be worth it just to see the Republicans take this up and beat the Democrats at their own game. Like I have said in my previous posts, we need the fair tax now before the Democrats turn all these people into government dependents like they have with so many others. We only have a few more years before those who support the government are out numbered by those who are supported by it. Once that happens, the real trouble begins.
