Immigration Rally’s Live Thread
Apr. 9th, 2006 | Danae

Posted on 04/09/2006 11:17:30 AM PDT by Danae

Ok, here on FoxNews we have, oh abut 1000K people gathering in white t-shirts in Dallas. If you aren’t paying attention to this, you should be.

I am going to propose a heretical idea. We have 11 MILLION or so of these people who are HERE, and they are NOT going to be leaving soon. If even a third of those 11 million get even slightly militant, we have one VERY serious problem. VERY, VERY serious. Here is the idea: Against the strident advise of the all the lawmakers in Washington, we just give them all amnesty. Then the GOP leads the drive to register and assimilate these under grounders, get them English language, insurance, paying taxes, and all the legitimate trappings of being a US citizen. Why? Because then they will be LOYAL to us and the United States. Otherwise we have an occupying force on our shores, one that if it turned violent, oh man… I don’t even want to think about it.

The Rally is so far peaceful. And I hope it stays that way, but we have to address the problem, and fast. We all need to get on board with this simple fact, no matter what is done, there is NOT going to be a solution that makes anyone overly happy. Let’s just buckle down and do what NEEDS to be done rather than what we WANT done. If we don’t lead the way, then the Illegals WILL. That is NOT a pretty thought!

Ok Flame away, we all know that those in power look at this site, let's start giving them some ideas.

You sound like an illegal allien to me. They broke the law and they should be sent back and you should get over it.

I'll tell you.....it won't take much for utter chaos to break out. This could get extremely violent! I am afraid tomorrow will be even worse.

"...stop the transfer of money ..."

Good, good, I forgot about that. Any money transfers out of the country should have a big fat tax put on them, at least 25 - 35%.

if you watch right behind the podium you will see the Mexican flag being waved. I've heard all I need to hear at this rally - "Viva La Raza!" - that says it all

That is what I fear as well. That is what they want. We are fools if we are thinking that this is just illegals poking their heads out of their little prairie dog houses. The threat is implicit. This number of people, all together, moving in a direction have the same inertia as a a Texas flash flood. If we don't control the flow, it is gonna wipe out a lot. The Organizers know that we get it. Our Government certainly gets it. What I DON'T get is why they are not DOING something REAL about it. Hell, seems to me that this is a PERFECT opportunity to deport them all, after all they have so graciously gathered all in one spot.

Escort to the border with tanks... There is something attractive in that thought.

It should be relatively simple to make a huge dent in the problem but the Senate is selling us out again.

We set aside the bedrock of our country, the 'rule of law', out of fear of a mob? Go hide under your bed.

Actually that it truer than you think: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1611117/posts?page=#49

Amen! I'm planning a move out of Texas in the next year. Already bought property in another state. We are overwhelmed here and this proves it!

The more pressure we keep on Mexico, immigration-wise, the more reformers
inside of Mexico can be emboldened and empowered to scale back monopolists'
abuses down there which keep our own country flooded with economic refugees.
Here's an interesting new thread on new legal reform progress that finally
emerged in Mexico I think as a result of immigration reform's failure:

We can make a difference for our sake, and their's as well. Isn't it the
neighborly thing to do?

Here's the deal:

The Mexican government wants veto power over U.S. immigration policy. Outrageously, many in our own government are assuming the Hyphenate-Fellate position and are only too happy to oblige, as long as there's votes and campaign contributions to be had.

The protestors--carrying Mexican flags---and the Mexican government share the same goals: legalize Mexican illegal aliens and keep the borders open. The Mexican government sees this as a way to relieve economic pressure on their government to reform the economy.

Mexico's leaders also work to retain the loyalty of the immigrant mobs so that, even if our laws allow them to become American citizens, they retain their loyalty to Mexico, and are subjects of the Mexican government.

In the Mexican Congress, it was recently announced that a document would be drafted, to show support for the protest marches in our country. The Mexican government published advertisements in leading American newspapers calling for the legalization of illegal immigrants (those in the United States, not in Mexico) and "a far-reaching guest workers scheme." Not only that, said the ads, but "in order for a US guest workers program to be viable, Mexico should participate in its design, management, supervision and evaluation."

Ruben Aguilar, spokesman for President Vicente Fox, made this statement to support the marches: "The recent protests carried out in different places in the United States are indicative of the imminent necessity of a migratory accord that corresponds to the interests of both countries, and that especially to the defense of the rights of migrants. The government of the (Mexican) Republic ratifies its commitment to the Mexicans who live in the United States and its intention to work in the defense of their rights ..."

EXHIBIT ONE: This is a direct violation of the Vienna Convention that prohbits foreign nationals from interferring in the political affairs of a host country. The Department of State‘s legal affairs office has stated that foreigners on American soil interfering in the internal affairs of the US is inconsistent with the 1963 Vienna Convention that prohibits visiting foreigners from interferring in the affairs of host countries.

EXHIBIT TWO: Congress provided in the Civil Rights Act of 1866 declaring persons born in the US who are subject to a foreign power are deemed to be non-citizens of the United States. That means children of immigrants---anchor babies---and any other individuals born here---who are running around carrying Mexican flags, and following the orders of the Mexican government, are not considered US citizens under the 1866 US Civil Rights law.
