SENATOR SESSIONS ON SECURING AMERICA'S BORDERS ACT Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee. I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate. Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor — legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us. Stand Up For America !

I feel very badly for those in deep poverty. I can only imagine what those pressures can do to a man or a woman. But those pressures are in many ways of their own making. Theirs and the governments who rule over them and as a wise man said "...Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed, ..." They need to look to themselves first. The poverty in Mexico and Latin America is horrible but their are probably a half billion or more in other places who are in far worse straits.

We do have some responsibility in that though. With Free Trade agreements and FNS we support the ruling elites there. It makes me madder than a hornet that our Republican Country Club elitists gave China FNS with no regard to their human rights abuses. There is no compassion in that. It's the same selfish excuse the Dem/libs are using with this issue "if it fills their bellies and pockets they will be happy." The result is heartless.

Grand jury indicts three in murder

A federal grand jury in Alexandria indicted three men in connection with a 2004 gangland-style killing in the Irongate neighborhood near Manassas.
Authorities say Wilfredo Montoya Baires, also known as "Nino," killed 22-year-old Manassas Park resident Jose Escobar on Aug. 11, 2004.

The federal grand jury indicted Baires for murder, conspiracy to commit murder and firearms charges.

Alderman Burke alerts about Chavez's involvement in US elections

London 08.04.06 | Smartmatic officials, in their condition of owners of Sequoia, were summoned for public hearings yesterday in Chicago. The reason being the e-voting fiasco of primaries held in Cook County on March 21, for which Sequoia was contracted. Alderman Ed Burke declared "We’ve stumbled across what we think could be an international conspiracy to subvert the electoral process in the United States of America,” as reported in some media.

Cook County Clerk David Orr dismissed Burke's comments and Jack Blaine, Sequoia's president, called the conspiracy argument a "crackpot theory" (sic). Blaine's remarks were to be expected, however Orr's commentary may have revealed just fine where his simpathies are. As reported here in August last year, David Orr knew full well that Smartmatic was behind Sequoia:

"Smartmatic International, which is owned by a Dutch company, owns Sequoia Voting Systems. Some key investors of the said Dutch company are Venezuelans" (sic).
