Newsome ignores any laws he does not like. He's a dictator wannabe.

SF employers will still be liable for continuing to hire illegals though.

Is this the same dude who thinks we should abolish the U.S. military and depend on the police to protect us from annihilation???
And BTW, I know this is changing the subject, but aren't these the people who elected Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, and Barbara Boxer to public office???

How about the Feds ignoring SF federal funds?

Isn't that the kind of stuff that started the Civil War?

If San Francisco refused to abide by the new immigration legislation, does that mean they would refuse to recognize the amnesty and insist that illegals get deported?

By the way. If I recall, Newsom was the more "moderate" candidate in the last mayoral election!

so our leaders get to pick and choose which laws they obey?
That concept is nothing new for marry-any-twosome Newsom.

And the FedGov should ignore San Francisco the next time they have an earthquake.

That mayor is a loose cannon in any case. That said, I will be howling with glee if all the illegal aliens go flocking to SF, making it a place even less likely to be a tourist destination than it is now.

Make sure the new laws make state and local officials who refuse to cooperate guilty of aiding-and-abeting.... punishable by life in prison with out possibility of parole and/or death.

and add "financially liable"...by this I can refer to a Letter to the Editor I wrote last week (published) wherein I warned the local city of Coachella against their city council vote to make their city limits a Sanctuary.
I told 'em that if I were to have any crime perpetrated against me there I would name the City - and council members personally - in a lawsuit.

Mayor Gavin Newsom said Thursday that The City will not comply with any federal legislation that criminalizes efforts to help illegal immigrants.
Then all federal funds to that city or that might find their way to that city through the state need to be ended immediatley.

Would it surprise you to know that he opposes the military recruiting on public campuses, too?
