Hitting a security guard with a phone while NOT having the proper ID and expecting special treatment because she loosened the cornrows on her head and was a member of Congress is asking way too much. She should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and somebody in Congress might consider a censure or other appropriate punishment for this kind of behavior. Nobody should treat security personnel like Cynthia McKinney does and get away with it.

DITTO!

And you know damn well there is a tape of the entire encounter and I can't wait for what really happened vs her bullshite story to

Makes ya real proud to be from ATL with that representing the east side, doesn't it?

Thankfully, I'm in Cobb, and don't have to put up with that...

A member of Congress is elected by the people to serve the people. Cindy doesn't have the "serve" part down, she thinks she was elected to rule the people.
Get the hook. She can find a job as a hairdresser.

OH hell, I don't know...Striking a police officer?

This?

TITLE 18
PART I
CHAPTER 7
§ 111. Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees

(a) In General.— Whoever—

(1) forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties; or

(2) forcibly assaults or intimidates any person who formerly served as a person designated in section 1114 on account of the performance of official duties during such person’s term of service,

shall, where the acts in violation of this section constitute only simple assault, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both, and in all other cases, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both.

(b) Enhanced Penalty.— Whoever, in the commission of any acts described in subsection (a), uses a deadly or dangerous weapon (including a weapon intended to cause death or danger but that fails to do so by reason of a defective component) or inflicts bodily injury, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both.

Problem is, she's covered from being oppose[d]s, impede[d]s, intimidate[d]s, or interfere[d]s with under the same law "while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties"...

§ 1114. Protection of officers and employees of the United States

Whoever kills or attempts to kill any officer or employee of the United States or of any agency in any branch of the United States Government (including any member of the uniformed services) while such officer or employee is engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties, or any person assisting such an officer or employee in the performance of such duties or on account of that assistance, shall be punished—

(1) in the case of murder, as provided under section 1111;

(2) in the case of manslaughter, as provided under section 1112; or

(3) in the case of attempted murder or manslaughter, as provided in section 1113.

And on top of that, there are seperate laws that pertain to Federal Office Buildings and Members of Congress are exempt from being charged...

U.S. Code
TITLE 40 —PUBLIC BUILDINGS, PROPERTY, AND WORKS
SUBTITLE II —PUBLIC BUILDINGS AND WORKS
PART B —UNITED STATES CAPITOL
CHAPTER 51 —UNITED STATES CAPITOL BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS

§ 5101. Definition

In this chapter, the term “Capitol Buildings” means the United States Capitol, the Senate and House Office Buildings and garages, the Capitol Power Plant, all buildings on the real property described under section 5102 (c) (including the Administrative Building of the United States Botanic Garden), all subways and enclosed passages connecting two or more of those structures, and the real property underlying and enclosed by any of those structures.

§ 5104. Unlawful activities

(a) Definitions.— In this section—

(1) Act of physical violence.— The term “act of physical violence” means any act involving—

(A) an assault or other infliction or threat of infliction of death or bodily harm on an individual; or
(B) damage to, or destruction of, real or personal property.

(e) Capitol Grounds and Buildings Security.—

(2) Violent entry and disorderly conduct.— An individual or group of individuals may not willfully and knowingly—

(F) engage in an act of physical violence in the Grounds or any of the Capitol Buildings; or
(3) Exemption of government officials.— This subsection does not prohibit any act performed in the lawful discharge of official duties by—

(A) a Member of Congress;

It's good to be a King, Prince, Princess or any other member of the royal family.

Brit Hume just reported that Capital police WERE about to drop charges, before all her stupid stunts and race baiting.

There are seeking warrants now...lol

It gets better, the police chief is about to retire so he don't really care about any fall-out over charging her.

McNinny is also in trouble for misuse of Congressional funds for private use.

All I can think of is that if it took being dissed to do it, will the LE have the principle to follow through? Or will they try to take the easy way out? I'll tell you what, if it really did take McKinney's flapping her gums to get them to follow through, I'll have lost a lot of respect for LE there.

Well, then the Dems will be engaged in another round of mutually assured destruction. Fine by me. Couldn't happen to a nicer party :)

Brian Wilson also reported that the LE has talked to several witnesses who said that Cindy did attack the LEO....so it does sound that they are making a case...I'm just crossing my fingers that they follow through.

Does anyone have the picture of Cynthia McKinney which is repeated over and over with her bug eyes that was posted a few days ago? My husband never heard of her and I wanted to get a good look at her strange run-away-bride stare.

Understand.

Even though I've known him for years, it still takes me back to see Phil Gingrey at church on Sundays and realize that these "mythological congresscritters" we are so ready to criticize are actual people..... Many of who deserve far more criticism than we (the media actually) give them.

Equally, or more practically, you realize how MUCH the media protects those who serve the democrat's interests.

I checked DU to see the responses.
They are the party of abortion and Ted Kennedy. If killing someone is a non-issue, why would they be concerned about a Dem slapping a cop.
If A Republican did it they'd understand completely.
