Congressman demands new OKC bomb probe, sees foreign connection,conspiracy beyond McVeigh, Nichols

WASHINGTON – Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., is calling for a congressional investigation of the Oklahoma City bombing because of evidence of a foreign connection and a conspiracy broader than Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols.  In a memo written to Rep. Henry Hyde, chairman of the House International Relations Committee, Rohrabacher said he has spent 12 months personally investigating the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 and concluded "there is ample evidence to justify an investigative hearing into this historic crime."  The focus of the probe, he suggests, should be "Was there a foreign connection to the Oklahoma City bombing?"

"The official position today, defended by the FBI and Justice Department, is that the OKC bombing, which left 168 persons dead, was planned and executed solely by two disgruntled veterans, Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, with the limited involvement of Michael Fortier," writes Rohrabacher. "After my inquiry I have concluded that others were involved and that information about the bombing is being kept from the public and from the Congress. The jurisdiction of my Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations extends only to the possible international and foreign involvement in the crime. Even within that framework there is ample evidence to justify an investigative hearing."

Rohrabacher worked closely in his personal investigation with Jayna Davis, author of the WND Book, "The Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing."  The congressman said there are two major targets of inquiry which indicate a foreign connection to the OKC bombing:

"First, Terry Nichols and, to some degree, Timothy McVeigh appear to have had contact with Arab, Muslim, or Middle Eastern terrorist elements prior to and during the implementation of the bomb plot," he wrote. "Second, just as significant, there is evidence of a personal relationship between Timothy McVeigh and Andreas Carl Strassmeier, a German national who was promoting violent insurrection to white supremacists at their nearby stronghold called Elohim City."

Rohrabacher concludes in his memo to Hyde: "(I)t is highly likely that the Arab connection and or the Strassmeier connection played a significant role in the planning and execution of the murderous bombing of the OKC federal building. In both possible scenarios, the official investigation fell short and further investigation has been discouraged ever since."

He suggested a one-day or two-day hearing and suggested subpoenas be issued to former FBI Director Louis Freeh and former Attorney General Janet Reno.  "The bombing of the OKC federal building was the greatest slaughter of innocent Americans until 9/11," Rohrabacher writes. "It is possible there was an al-Qaida connection. It is possible there was a Strassmeier connection. There is ample reason to disbelieve the official version of this horrific crime. It is up to us to begin setting the record straight."

Too many years, too many beers. But I'm pretty sure the leg was reunited with the correct victim.

The "extra leg" is one of the many bad bits of info about this tragic bombing that have clouded more important issues.

I sure hope so. That was just sad all the way around.

Be sure and give this link a try. Interesting, especially considering the source.

"And what ever happened to Jose Padilla? The last time I heard anything about him he was being kept at an undisclosed location with still no charges filed against him. What's the deal on Padilla? Anyone know?"

~~~~~~~~~~
Funny you should ask -- just today there is news:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1608254/posts
By a 6-3 vote, the court sided with the Bush administration and refused to hear an appeal by Jose Padilla, who was confined in a military brig in South Carolina for more than three years after Bush designated him an "enemy combatant."
The conspiracy theorists err in trying to fit the facts into their theories of secret societies and combinations working for either the suppression of the working masses (Marxist) or one world government (rightist). However, the political leadership of the country and the MSM are as committed to hiding or obscuring information that does not fit whatever is the received opinion on a particular matter. Additionally, when information comes up that does not fit a particular prejudice of theirs, as when the "Beltway sniper" turned out to be a black Muslim rather than a redneck survivalist disproved their pet theory that only conservative white males are capable of terroristic violence, the matter is soon pulled out of national news prejudice.
My recollection of the OKC RM Bldg is the bldg hosted a DEA office managing a major operation vs Mexican dope rings. McV & Nickles were duped into the perp roll. DEA was nuetralized.
First I've heard of that, interesting.
And I guess terrorists taking violent control of Airplanes and flying them into the WTC, the Pentagon, and unsuccessfully into the White House is the problem of the Airline Industry?
I would say another probe into the OKC bombing is a good idea. Many of us have suspected, all this time, that McVeigh and Nichols could not have done this alone, and remember the 3rd person talked about.
I think the 42nd president and his cohorts are the ones who put the lid on any investigation into the possibility of foreign instructions and leadership. We can't forget the invisible legal wall put up by Ms Gorelick, at the behest of the president's office, which disallowed any information flowing from one invesitgative body to another.
As time goes on we will find a lot of things that are happening and will happen in the future because of the mischief done by these people.
What about that very strange connection between Nick Berg, and his laptop/email adddress being used by a terrorist while on an Oklahoma bus? Is it all connected or just a coincidence?
"He (Clinton) was trying to get the Nobel Peace Prize"
Tx,
He got it, with the Ozlo Accord and Rabin and Arafat shaking hands, and from a historical perspective it was as worthless as Arafat's words.
Now do you know who the Israeli's released one of 600, I believe as part of that agreement?
You guessed it Mohammad Atta.
Now add the Cole, Black Hawk Down, The 1st World Trade Center Bombings, and not getting Osama after he was darn near handed to him on a plate and you get the picture of a dysfunctional President not dealing with a true problem and focusing on the appearances of a good economy and Morris driven pole numbers.
Not to mention all the OKC alternative thinking, i.e. J. Davis and A.E. Pritchard, TWA 800, etc. and then you are in conspiratorial territory, which makes the dominant media's eyes glaze over. Heck they don't even want to go near "Able Danger" which is a Clinton/Gorelick mess which is as subtle as stepping on a rake and hitting yourself in the face, this one does and they still won't go near it because like the rake it really smarts them and they guy they sacrificed everything for.
However, at some point, 10 or 20 years hence when the Clinton presidency is looked at by historian's, the non conspiratorial stuff alone will raise red flags of incompetence by at least one man or women of courage. Somehow someway the message will get to the Non-Freeper types, and they may be infuriated by the opportunity lost of potentially nipping 9/11 in the bud in the 90's when Clinton could have done it with very little opportunity cost, vs. the price we are paying now and will continue to pay for some time to come.
