World Terrorism: Granny's Googles/News/History/Much Much More.

Europe's botched civilization, perverted by socialism and lost faith, seems to have lost the will, the passion to sustain itself. If it continues to practice today's multiculturalist leftism, Europe's demographic doom will be sealed. Some harbingers:

In Brussels, Belgium, the most popular name for baby boys is now Mohammad. Sustaining the population of a nation requires that on average each couple gives birth to 2.1 children. The average European couple now has fewer than 1.4 babies, compared to 3.6 babies born to the average Muslim immigrant couple in Europe. Across Western Europe 16 to 20 percent of babies are being born into Muslim families. In France at least 12 percent of the population is already Muslim, the fruits mostly of immigrants from former French colonies in North Africa. If present birth trends continue, by 2030 a quarter of France's people will be Muslim, more than enough to determine who controls the national parliament and executive. As this columnist recently noted, the nuclear-armed French military is already 15 percent Muslim. Adjacent Switzerland is now 20 percent Muslim. The German newspaper Deutsche Welle days ago reported that Germany's birth rate in 2005 fell to a level lower than at the end of World War II, to a "historic low," more than fifty percent lower than those of France and Great Britain. But at a meeting this week in Berlin that brought together the interior ministers of six European nations, Germany's leftwing Social Democrats continued to oppose the application of any test or standard that would restrict who could migrate into Germany.

The burgeoning Muslim population within Europe is not evenly spread. It is largely concentrated in and around big cities, whose local politicians feel its pressure acutely and often bend to that pressure. In the Netherlands the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam nearly have Muslim majorities now.

These Islamic enclaves are already taking on the character of conquered provinces that no longer belong to the European countries around them. As FrontPage Magazine recently quoted from the new book While Europe Slept by liberal American expatriate Bruce Bawer:

In France, a public official met with an imam at the edge of Roubaix's Muslim district out of respect for his declaration of the neighborhood as Islamic territory to which she had no right of access. In Britain, imams have pressed the government to officially designate certain areas of Bradford as being under Muslim, not British, law. In Denmark, Muslim leaders have sought the same kind of control over parts of Copenhagen. And in Belgium, Muslims living in the Brussels neighborhood of Sint-Jans-Molenbeek already view it not as part of Belgium but as an area under Islamic jurisdiction in which Belgians are not welcome.

They claim that they found America before Columbus did, there were several reports put out with details. Maybe 3 or 4 years ago.

I once found a statement signed by a phoney American indian, who said the American Indians worshipped allah.

Muslims protest against threat to raze mosque in southern Russia

snip

Russia’s 20 million Muslims make up some 14 percent of the nation’s population, but about half the 1.1 million inhabitants of Astrakhan province, which is home to the Volga Tatars, are Muslim. Work on the mosque has been halted since last year, when the newly elected mayor said zoning rules had been violated. A local court has ordered the Muslims to dismantle the structure at their own expense by May 1 or face the bulldozers.

Anti-terror plan for underwater subways

BY PETE DONOHUE
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Girding for a terrorist attack, the MTA plans to bolster underwater
subway
tunnels with layers of concrete and dirt to stop any flooding from a
bomb
blast.

Two Metropolitan Transportation Authority committees yesterday approved
a
$17.1 million contract for a Staten Island marine firm to build the
anti-terror bulwarks.

"It provides additional structural hardening protection ... a barrier
between the top of the tunnel and the riverbed," said Ronnie Hakim,
vice
president of the MTA's Capital Construction Co.

Officials wouldn't provide details of the project for security reasons,
but
the MTA has 14 underwater subway tunnels, many dug through solid rock.
They
run under the East River, the Harlem River and the Newtown Creek on the
Queens-Brooklyn border.

The MTA committees also approved $80 million worth of work to add 399
surveillance cameras and 425 motion sensors to the system to thwart
terror
attacks.

That work expands a $212 million contract awarded to Lockheed Martin
last
year to install 1,000 cameras and 3,000 sensors across its network,
plus
computer technology designed to detect threats like unattended baggage
on
subway platforms.

Another program, by the Transit Authority, is outfitting some 100
subway
stations with nearly 2,000 surveillance cameras.

The tunnel-protection contract, expected to be approved by the full MTA
board tomorrow, is with Spearin, Preston and Burrows Inc. of Staten
Island.
The company is a subsidiary of Modern Continental, which worked on the
Big
Dig highway-tunneling project in Boston.

Fighting terrorism begins with LAPD
By Jack Weiss, Guest Columnist

Fans of the anti-terrorist drama "24" may imagine Keifer Sutherland is
the
typical hero keeping Los Angeles safe every day. While federal agent
Jack
Bauer solves terrorist crimes season after season, in Los Angeles the
more
likely hero wears LAPD blue.

In the real effort to prevent terrorist attacks in Los Angeles,
ordinary
crimes can lead to extraordinary finds. For example, last year two
American-born suspects were arrested in a series of gas station
robberies in
the South Bay area. At first the crimes appeared to be routine armed
robberies, but local Torrance police got Washington's attention when
they
reported the discovery of jihadist materials and targeting information
at a
suspect's home.

These suspects looked like terrorists in the making. With radical
Islamic
contacts forged in prison, they seemed to be planning terrorist attacks
in
Southern California. Fortunately for the potential targets in L.A., the
plot
was discovered before it was too late.

Without a doubt, police play a critical role in homeland security, and
counterterrorism activities go hand in hand with fighting gang and
other
crime.

That's why the City Council needs to approve Mayor Antonio
Villaraigosa's
Homeland Security and Disaster Preparedness Initiative, which will
provide
the resources that Los Angeles Police Department Chief William Bratton
needs
to fight terrorism and violent crime.

The choice before the City Council is not whether to fund homeland
security
instead of other police priorities. The choice is whether to recognize
the
role that counterterrorism plays in local policing and to authorize the
staffing and resources that are necessary to provide local homeland
security
in Los Angeles.

Federal agents work on complex cases that may involve international
networks
and multiple jurisdictions. Focused on the big picture, they cannot be
counted on to notice and respond
to the smaller clues about terror plots that may be hatched in Los
Angeles
and other cities.

Local cops have unique knowledge about the communities they serve. They
are
better positioned to notice suspicious activities, and leads followed
on a
hunch can develop into major investigations. Local cops can gather
intelligence through relationships with communities and they may
uncover
terrorists engaged in low-level precursor crimes.

In Los Angeles, Bratton has coped with a lack of federal funds for
police
overtime and anti-terror positions by shuffling his existing resources.
He
has redeployed borrowed officers from other divisions to ensure that
adequate staffing is provided to local homeland security while
repeatedly
seeking the necessary support for the Counter Terrorism & Criminal
Intelligence Bureau.

With few exceptions, Bratton's pleas have fallen on deaf ears until
Villaraigosa recently proposed making borrowed positions permanent and
improving intelligence capabilities. The plan also provides needed
disaster
response resources for the Los Angeles Fire Department. If intelligence
and
policing aren't enough to prevent an attack, first responders must be
prepared to cope with the aftermath.

It is time to acknowledge that the threat of terrorism is a daily fact
of
life in Los Angeles just like New York and Washington, D.C., and that
Jack
Bauer isn't going to help Los Angeles, so the city must help itself.

Jack Weiss represents the 15th District on the Los Angeles City
Council.

LUCKNOW: Be it Oklahoma, Bali, Nairobi, Istanbul, Delhi, Mumbai or
Varanasi
- the recent terror attacks at all these places had one thing in
common:
Terror outfits right from Osama's Al Qaida to ISI's LeT, JeM and HuJi
used
ammonium nitrate (NH4NO3) as the basic explosive.

And this revelation is giving sleepless nights to the security agencies
in
India. The cause of concern stems from the fact that ammonium nitrate
is
widely used in fertilisers which are available over the counter,
thereby
making it easy for the terror outfits to execute their nefarious
designs.

With no restrictions on open sale of this chemical compound, security
agencies fear that averting such attacks would remain a herculean task.
Many
a senior officials are now mooting the idea of putting in place some
regulations to check the mis(use) of this chemical.

"A check on open sale of ammonium nitrate is a must," says former Delhi
police commissioner Ajay Raj Sharma. Talking to TOI on phone, Sharma, a
UP
cadre officer, who laid the foundation of the Special Task Force (STF),
emphasises that any such check must not hamper the role of ammonium
nitrate
in agriculture sector.

"Any such imbalance too would prove to be detrimental for the economy,"
he
adds. Senior police officials in Kolkata too cite the recent arrest of
two
Laskhar-e-Taiba militants in February last.

One of the arrested ultra, Tariq Abdullah, told the investigators that
he
bought ammonium nitrate in bulk from Burabazar market. One of their
aides,
Ainul Haq was arrested after he delivered a part of the consignment to
one
Salim in Varanasi. Possibilities of the same stock having been used in
March
7 blasts has not been ruled out.

Christians sue against gay policies
Big News Network
Monday 10th April, 2006 (UPI)

A lawsuit by a Georgia Institute of Technology student in Atlanta is the latest in an effort by religious groups to legally fight policies protecting gays.

The campaign seeks to force public schools, state colleges and private workplaces to eliminate such policies, reports The Los Angeles Times.

In the Georgia Tech case, the senior claimed her Christian faith compels her to speak out against homosexuality. She sees the school's ban on any speech putting down others because of their sexual orientation as an infringement on her right to religious expression, says the report.

The national campaign is helped by the Christian Legal Society, an association of judges and lawyers, which wants to challenge tolerance policies in federal court.

The campaign's argument is that policies intended to protect gays and lesbians from discrimination amounts to discriminating against conservative Christians.

A leading evangelist told the newspaper, Christians are going to have to take a stand for the right to be Christian.

Critics say the campaign is a right-wing fundraising ploy which tries to create a persecution complex. Some fear it could be used to justify all manner of harassment, says the report.

Two new groups must google....LOL

Communist Terrorists in India

April 11, 2006: Communist rebels and terrorists are still active, 15 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the end of the Cold War and seeming defeat of the communist movement. But there is still an energetic communist terrorist operation going on in Indian state of Chhattisgarh. These terrorists belong to the Maoist movement, an organization trying to establish communist dictatorships similar to radical communist movement of the 1960s, when Chinese rule Mao Zse Dong sought to "purify" the country. The Cambodian Khmer Rouge were the first copy-cat Maoists, and they killed over a million of their countrymen in the 1970s.

Nepalese Maoists are often in the news, as they use terror to build an army of rural youngsters, much like the Khmer Rouge did. The Indian Maoists, which are active in 13 of India's 35 states, have been active, or one degree or another, since Mao died in the 1970s. In twelve of those states, the police believe they have the Maoists under control. But in Chhattisgarh, the Maoist violence is on the increase. In the first three months of this year, there were 162 incidents of Maoist violence in Chhattisgarh, an increase of 67 percent over the same period last year. Moreover, 41 percent of all the Maoist violence in India was in Chhattisgarh. Worse, two-thirds of the 157 casualties were in Chhattisgarh. About thirty percent of the casualties are security personnel (police and army), with the rest mostly Maoists. But why have counter-terror tactics that are succeeding in the other twelve states, failing in Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh is different. With a population of 22 million, it has the highest proportion (about a third) of tribal peoples of all the states of India. Now most people don't think of tribes in India, but this is a complicated country. With over a billion people, and 19 major languages, India is more complicated, culturally, than Europe (which has half as many people and fewer different cultures, and no tribes left active). While India eliminated most feudalistic practices half a century ago, after the British left, there were still a lot of old customs left that rankled. The tribal peoples survived by staying out of the mainstream. As happens to tribes everywhere, they got screwed, and the Maoists found this fertile ground for their radical ideas about how to make everything better. Actually, the Maoists do not have a large following among the citizens of Chhattisgarh. But it's enough to enable the Maoists to raise several thousand dedicated followers, many of them armed. The Maoists are communists, and their rhetoric is familiar. It's all class warfare to them, and anyone who disagrees is an "enemy of the people." The Maoists pay their way via the usual extortion racket ("revolutionary taxes.") The Maoists also play Robin Hood, battling the local landlords and power brokers. If some big shot screws the little guy, he can expect a visit from armed and angry Maoists. But the local swells know who they are up against, and most maintain large security forces.

In some of the more rural areas, the Maoists have declared themselves in charge. That may only be a night, or when they can plant a mine in a road. The Maoists have to be careful with this tactic, as if a busload of civilians comes along, instead of the truckload of soldiers, or an SUV belonging to a capitalist, the Maoists lose a lot of fans.

In the other provinces, the government has addressed the social issues more effectively, and offered amnesty to most of the Maoists. Many are just uneducated kids, lured into the life of Maoist terrorism by fairy tales of triumphant communism. And that's what Maoist terrorism is all about, getting guns, fantasy, bad government and real grievances mixed up all together. This is a deadly mixture, and should be avoided.

Granny look at this ...The study reveals that there has been a “dramatic explosion” in the number of websites operated by terrorist organisations, jumping from just 12 in 1998 to more than 4800 today.
```````````we are looking in the wrong places, we got to get out of the box...hhmmmmm
Internet proving a boon for terrorists too: Study
Washington: A new study has revealed how the Internet is proving a boon for the world of global terrorism in terms of communication, networking mobilisation and execution of terror plans.
The study - ‘Terror on the Internet: the new arena, the new challenges’ – published by the United States Institute of Peace was conducted by Gabriel Weimann, who based his study on eight years of work that recounts how terrorists use the Internet to carry out their plans on a daily basis. He also addresses the threats posed to civil liberties by government efforts to constrain ‘cyber-terror’.
Weimann predicts that terrorism on the Internet “is sure to become more sophisticated and dangerous”, as future terrorists would be even more computer-savvy. The study reveals that there has been a “dramatic explosion” in the number of websites operated by terrorist organisations, jumping from just 12 in 1998 to more than 4800 today.
According to the study, the Internet is helping in the growth and expansion of terrorism across the world, whereby terrorists make its ‘optimum’ use by having a full control over their communications through the use of the developed world’s cyberspace infrastructure. The study reveals how terrorists use the Internet on a daily basis for data mining, networking, recruitment and mobilisation, instructions and online manuals, planning and coordination, fund-raising, and attacking rival terrorist groups.
It says that efforts to prevent al Qaeda from using the Internet “have proved useless”, as terror websites appear one day, quickly change formats, and then disappear or re-emerge with altered online addresses. If one Web site is hacked or removed from the Net, many others surface with new service providers and new URLs, the study says adding that the websites of the Pakistan-based “Lashkar-e-Taiba” target not only current and potential supporters but also the media and public in the societies they terrorise.
“Post-modern terrorism is less centralised, less structured, less organised, and far more dangerous than the terrorism of the late twentieth century. The modern, technology-savvy terrorist has emerged,” the Daily Times quoted Weimann as saying.
According to him, the Internet has expanded the terrorists’ theatre of operation, allowing them full control over their communications through the use of the developed world’s cyberspace infrastructure. In his newly published book (based on the study), he says that the terrorist presence on the web is dynamic.
Weimann asserts that while much attention has paid to the threat of cyber-terrorism, “far too little attention has been paid to the dangers posed by the terrorists’ daily use of the Internet to organise and coordinate their dispersed activities”.
He states that terrorism functions by delivering threats intended to create fear and helplessness among its target audiences. “Whether it is the public arenas of France’s Reign of Terror or the global coverage of the 9/11 attacks, terrorists have been dependent on whatever means were available to let their actions and threats be known. With the advent of the Internet, means of communication become internalised and are controlled by the terrorists themselves,” says Weimann.
Weimann suggests that the US must be careful not to sacrifice its own civil liberties in the name of preventing terrorism at all costs. Instead, it must find a “golden path,” or middle ground.
The goal is the over throwing of America.
Each group thinks they will win, so for now they work as a team.
Haven't heard about these guys on the local news...
Lashkar-e-Taiba
Lashkar-e-Tayyiba
(Army of the Righteous)
Description
The LT is the armed wing of the Pakistan-based religious organization, Markaz-ud- Dawa-wal-Irshad (MDI)—a Sunni anti-US missionary organization formed in 1989.
snip
Activities
The LT has conducted a number of operations against Indian troops and civilian targets in Jammu and Kashmir since 1993. The LT claimed responsibility for numerous attacks in 2001, including an attack in January on Srinagar airport that killed five Indians along with six militants; an attack on a police station in Srinagar that killed at least eight officers and wounded several others; and an attack in April against Indian border-security forces that left at least four dead. The Indian Government publicly implicated the LT—along with JEM—for the attack on 13 December 2001 on the Indian Parliament building, although concrete evidence is lacking. The LT is also suspected of involvement in the attack on 14 May 2002 on an Indian Army base in Kaluchak that left 36 dead. Senior al-Qaida lieutenant Abu Zubaydah was captured at an LT safehouse in Faisalabad in March 2002, suggesting some members are facilitating the movement of al-Qaida members in Pakistan.
